Hospitality is never forgotten.

Appalachian Coffee Cupboard did not make the world’s greatest cortado, but they maybe one of the world’s greatest at greeting their customers. As I sat sipping on my cortado I watched the barista and owners kindly invite and greet every person who walked through their door. I marveled at the ease of the owners’ demeanor and treatment of their customers who seemed more like neighbors to them.

Appalachian Coffee Cupboard is one of those coffee shops you will wish could be copied and planted all over the world.

Absolutely amazing. This is my new favorite place, and I’m from Florida. I was on my way out to watauga lake when we passed this little gem. I’m so happy we decided to stop here on the way out. The owners were so incredibly nice, and I swear the food was the best I’ve ever had. The coffee was to die for. So cute and even had a bunch of little souvenirs like dry flowers they grow themselves, teapots, shirts, art, jam, and stickers. 100% more than worth the stop. Comfy, quiet and charming. The owners are warm and personable. The food is delicious and beautifully crafted. I am not very knowledgeable on coffee, but it is both the best and only coffee I'll drink. I've disliked it my whole life and usually found it disappointing. Until now. Now I find myself devoted to their Hazelnut Latte and Crumbled Bacon Frittata Sandwich. I also love supporting small local over big chains. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in...
