Burger Hut — Restaurant in Elizabethton

I love they’re food but I don’t know if I’ll be back the women working the counter are always so rude and snappy the prices aren’t listed anywhere and I get the same thing basically every time and it seems like it always changes based on who’s working up there that day and when I asked they treat me like I’m dumb.. this is a very small prejudice town and I can’t help but feel the tension when I walk in… and the aggressiveness from the workers toward me isn’t a good feeling. I will literally be in line and this isn’t a very diverse area anyway so me being the minority I get to watch the demeanor change when it’s time for me to order I don’t think “what do you want” followed by an eye roll is how anyone should be talked to or treated… it’s very disheartening it’s unfortunate because the food is very good. For a Christian based restaurant they are not displaying gods love...

Went for breakfast, maybe lunch is better. I recommend you drive an extra 2 miles into town and get a better breakfast for the buck. Hashbrowns are those fried potato cakes that you get from the fast food drive-thru. $1.65 for one small fried potato cake. Breakfast served on real cheap paper plates, the ones with dividers. My 3 eggs were all piled into one of the small veggie dividers. They were on top of one another. If it were cheap as it should be I wouldnt complain. But I can go to Waffle House and get the all-star breakfast which includes everything including a Waffle and REAL Hashbrowns for $8.00. I spent $11.28 for much less on a flimsy paper plate. I might try them for lunch one day, but I definitely wont be back for Breakfast. BTW the biscuits and gravy is just plain ole white gravy, no sausage or meat...

Stopped in around 2:30 on a Tuesday to try out the food since I'm moving to this area. I can tell you that the burger/cheeseburger isn't worth the stop. The burger was overcooked and a little larger than 1/2 the bun. I don't know if this place USED to be better and/or why the burger is so much smaller than the bun but I can tell you I won't be getting another burger from here. I am going to return to try the meatloaf dinner as I did see another customer get it and it did look ALOT better than the burger. The positive reviews are the restaurant cleanliness, the super friendly staff and the convenient location. I'll update my review at a later date. Let's hope they gain a star and...
