I admit I was quick to judge when I walked in the place - it was my idea to try the modest house looking place in a industrial area of Elkhart who claimed they had the best seafood in town - but the place was nearly empty, even for a Wednesday at 6:30 pm we were one of two or three tables that had people and when the waitress wanted to seat us right next (nearly on top of) the 6 top with kids and when we pointed at another table she said that she didn’t want to seat 2 at a table for 6 because they might need it for a party of 6 - I admit I rolled my eyes at the silly excuse - obviously there were plenty of tables. Once we were seated - we tried to order ice tea which they did not have - water was our second choice but had to specify tap instead of bottled. I was a tad nervous how fresh the fish was - which the majority of the menu after seeing how empty the place was. Once we ordered - just one meal to share - the waitress brought the complimentary corn tostadas/ crackers and ceviche with limes and hot sauces - I started to eat my words and fears as I ate the appetizer- the ceviche was fantastic! And as we sat there having our meal the place started to fill up. The steak fajitas that we ordered were terrific. I feel like I will have to try this place again, giving it more of chance to impress me with their seafood dishes. I will revise my 3 star review once I can get out of my own way to enjoy the experience that they offer. Which I must say is an unusual experience...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE ! There is so many things wrong with this restaurant! First off the waitresses are rude they didn’t even greet us. I ordered two appetizers for my family of 5 to share . And they didn’t even bring plates or napkins! And when I asked for some plates as my elder father in law is struggling trying to not make a mess , she said I can MAYBE bring you 3 ….. I was sooo grateful when she brought us 4 of the cheapest styrofoam plates .the empanadas dough was raw and the shrimp was not cleaned or seasoned .my husband order was wrong but mistakes happen right ? He let it slide.all the food was not fresh and poorly seasoned .I was able to try one piece of octopus ( which was stinky and rubbery) before a fat nasty fly landed in my dish.for most of our time there we were 1 of 2 tables seated .and NO ONE checked on us !not for drinks or any reason. We paid for everything TIPPED and left ! Please train your staff in how to properly host and serve. your staff depends on the success of the restaurant for their job . I hope your reevaluate your training , performance and product served . Management and quality control is KEY ! no one apologized to us at the restaurant and now that I’ve read the reviews you are also not very professional or apologetic in the comments...

This is not the place to get actual seafood they sold me a replica of the red snapper which 75% of your local seafood restaurants sell is Fake seafood fishes and Don Miguel is definitely 1 of them. Now the fish was not spoiled by no means but to trick your meat with good people willing to pay for your over priced fake fish is barbaric! I mean do you guys sleep well at night serving your Latin communities with this so called fruits of the sea! Sell me fish from a can and that alone would spare my life for a few years. Knowing your in bum funk eygpt a.k.a middle of nowhere this would be the chance to stick out like a sore thumb in a place not known for good Real seafood might as well call yourselves...
