I have been a fan of pork steamed buns and went here in search for them. Unfortunately they don't have them.
I did try the sweet and sour pork with fried rice and an egg roll. I also got an order of crab rangoons and shrimp toast.
I have to admit that the shrimp toast was better than most. Not overcooked or extremely greasy. Flavor and texture was dead on. Definitely recommend it!
The crab rangoons were sparsely filled and the filling was not as creamy or flavorful as I would have liked. For the best crab rangoon in the area I prefer Asia Boy in elkton.
The sweet and sour pork was good. The cuts were good, the right balance of tempura and meat was to my satisfaction. The sweet and sour sauce was thicker than you usually get in the area, nice surprise.
I normally prefer the brown fried rice over the yellow. Here you get the yellow kind. However, the vegetables are fresh and don't appear to be frozen and tossed in. For someone who doesn't care for the yellow rice, it was pretty good.
The restaurant is like a lot of other Chinese restaurants that have closed up to public dining since the scamdemic. The plexi glass walls still stand, the counter and dining areas are still out of reach so no in the restaurant dining.
I have no idea what the other meals are like but it seems like it's a decent place to get a meal.
I spent $25 for the combo platter, shrimp toast and rangoons. Portions were good and I will be eating it for 2 to 3 meals so you definitely get your monies worth.
Nothing stupendous but not...
Read moreWe order carry out from here whenever we get Chinese food. It is a sort of quick service type of restaurant. The food is good, servings are large, and my order has always been correct. The packaging for to go orders is nice. Nothing arrived spilled all over the place which in my mind for carry out Chinese get lots of bonus points. I typically order house lo mein, shrimp egg foo young, fried dumplings, spare ribs, house fried rice, and steak and broccoli and have never been disappointed. Honestly the spare ribs are amazing! I gave only 4 stars for atmosphere because it is in a strip mall which is a bit older and run down, there is nothing high end or classy about it. However, who needs that for a night at home binging shows and chowing down on Chinese food? Not me, their food hits the spot every time. If you like chop sticks you have to ask for them otherwise to go orders come with forks, spoons, napkin, and a small selection of sauces. The employees are always so happy and polite so when walking and being greeted is welcoming! Recommended for when the craving for Chinese food hits (If you love Chinese food you know what I mean sometimes it just hits you and it’s all you can...
Read moreSunday, 4/23/23. First time at this location. Take out only - no eat in. Ordered the following: Gen Tso Combination/Kung Pau combination/steamed dumplings/wonton soup. Gen Tso - chicken was tasty but the steamed broccoli wasn't prepared in the sauce. A couple of pieces were simply thrown on top of the order almost as if an afterthought. Kung Pau Chicken - Blandest I have ever had - absolutely no flavor. Contained zucchini pieces (I've never seen that before). But if you like celery, this is your place. Looked like a whole stalk was chopped and put in the portion. Steamed dumplings: you get 10. These were actually very good and the smaller size will fit into your mouth in one bite. Wonton soup - First time I've had this without any green onions in the broth. But this will be my last time. More flavor from Campbells Chicken noodle. Usually go to the Golden Wall in the North East Station but they're closed on Sundays. Should've waited for them to...
