Mama Nois Pizza & Hot Sub & Chinese — Restaurant in Ellerbe

The five stars are a combination of things, delicious pizza and over-the-top phenomenal customer service. Although, honestly, both deserve five stars on their own.

We were visiting the Ellerbe area, and we happened upon Mama Nois while looking for a different restaurant. The tall brunette woman manning the counter at dinner time mentioned that the pizza in her place was excellent, perhaps better than the place that we were looking for, so we tried it. She was not wrong, this pizza is phenomenal, the dough is expertly made, pristinely prepared and perfectly cooked.

Her customer service was impeccable, her interaction with our children was an effortless master class in grace and tact. What the business owner did in a past life to be blessed with the darmic reward of an employee such as this.... He must have been a prophet or a saint.

In short, we ate here two more times in a space of just a couple of weeks. We called one time to order in advance, and she remembered us and remembered how many kids we had.

All I can say is, this woman most likely deserves an immediate raise, stock options and should be made the regional trainer for all restaurant employees. When you have three hungry kids, stumble into a strange restaurant, leave with an impactful experience like this, you are dealing with someone who has both talent and skill.

Definitely recommend this if you're in the area. The food was pretty good. I got the steak and cheese sub and bacon cheese fries. The fries were very tasty but the steak sub was a little lacking on how much steak was in it. Also my friend ordered the same thing as me with only steak and cheese and they gave him one with everything on it. Also the order took almost 20 minutes to get our food. I would give it no stars if i could. Tried to call in an order only to have the call not answered. When i go to the restaurant to make the order important the cashier appeared to want to make small talk with everyone instead of taking my order. After finally having my order taken in a rude manner, i had to wait for over half an hour for it to be finished. Finally when i go home to eat my order is WRONG. This place used to be a nice place to eat but recently its went to the trash! Will never spend money there again and I advise you...
