State Street Market has officially made the move from Alton to the charming town of Elsah, Illinois. The new location retains the same warm, rustic atmosphere as the original spot on State Street—and thankfully, the same friendly and welcoming staff made the move too.
We stopped in for Father’s Day brunch with a group of nine, and everything exceeded expectations. Erin, our server, was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly accommodating for such a large party.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Croissants and gravy? Who would’ve thought that combination would be so incredible! The menu had some creative twists, and every dish we tried was on point—from the flatbread breakfast pizza and eggs Benedict to the bacon fried rice and a perfectly cooked omelette.
