CASAPULLA ELSMERE original STEAK and SUB SHOP — Restaurant in Elsmere

I order a Cheesesteak after work, I kno Casapulla's has good food but I usually order a cold sub with a Hank's key lime soda. I pick up my large cheesesteak, fried onions, extra cheese, ketchup, mustard, sweet peppers, extra pickles and light mayo on the roll. No Hank's key lime soda in the fridge 😕 I got home, opened it up and it looked like a cold wet mess. It seemed like whoever put the extra pickles on my steak they brought every drop of liquid onto my chzsteak and the ketchup and mustard was jus more mess on top of the messiness of everything. I tried for it anyway, I took a bite and it was cold barely melted cheese, not even distributed evenly, it was very disappointing 😢 I only took 2 or 3 bites, I really tried to see past the non-caring attitude the employee used to make my chzsteak, and the roll fell apart due to the clumpy, wetness that engulfed my Cheesesteak. And i guess casapulla's doesn't chop their steak up by default but that's a TERRIBLE IDEA!! Please chop your cheesesteaks because who really wants to bite into a rectangular piece of meat that keeps getting pulled out every bite you take... I called and told the guy that answered and he said I could bring it back, i said i don't really wanna come back out, he said i can bring it tomorrow... Do you really want me to bring that mess back to you, really? Cause I don't really want too. (I'm not bringing that pile of mess back) Sorry. Please change your grill rules to chopping the steak up and either fully melting the cheese, until it's melted... Then either put the roll on top and flip it or mix the cheese up with the chopped steak and then flip it. It tastes so much better. I prolly won't be back for a cheesesteak... But maybe if there's Hanks...

Go their every friday since i was old enough to chew. Theirs 2 kinds of people capriottis ppl nd casapullas capriotis is good if you want alot of food nd its good but they chop their meat nd use american cheese. Im avout quality OVER quantity so i like casapullas their steaks are awesome their rolls are from luscios (nd serpes but i ask for the luscios nd only 2 of the locations use serpes rest is luscios. Their like part of the family. Nd the one in elsemere right by my house is the priginal one they dont do appetizers, but thats cause they dont need to. Love my casapullas i worked a the one in newark as a kid and workin their made me love it evan more cause i see that all their refridgerater stuff is made fresh in their kitchen nd they have an electronic sinl that moniters your bathroom sanitation habits nd theirs no way to skip washing your...

Omg I have been going there since I was like 6 yrs old I'm now 35.. and the customer service hasn't changed. They are sweet.. so nice n so accurate at all orders we place not to mention they fill their steaks n subs with a great amount of meat and every sandwich is worth every penny. I'd like to say when you have a deli shop which is a rated name for a family place like this . Thank you Casapulla's for being apart of my childhood, my mother's, my great grandma n now my family with our children. You make the best of everything n I miss the local Italian markets where you can get all your favorite home recipes but you're little perfect "corner store deli" has kept our heritage's pride going for years n years n we pray many more years to come. I hope this historic landmark in my eyes only...
