China Town — Restaurant in Elwood

First let me say, I am a real person. Not one of the numerous fake names with reviews listed here. My wife and I live in Atlanta and decided to try this place out. I was suspect of the place because there are never any cars in their parking lot. We ordered take out and decided to keep it simple. The menu has claims like “FRESH” and ”white chicken meat” used. We spent $32.85 on an order of cashew chicken and pepper steak and two orders of fried rice. I also ordered an order of crab rangoon and two egg rolls. THIS WAS THE WORST CHINESE FOOD WE HAVE EVER EATEN! The meat in my cashew chicken was 99% chicken SKIN! The fried rice was bland, greasy and crunchy. My wife’s pepper steak wasn’t as bad, but she became sick shortly after eating part of it. The crab Rangoon was without any crab and was just some kind of mystery paste! The egg rolls were just some cheap Gordon’s food type egg roll.

You always take a chance when searching for a new Chinese take out. You hope it will be good and when it’s not, like with this place, you feel a bit cheated. These people are definitely trying to make stuff as cheaply as possible and it shows with the horrible food they sell. Don’t fall for the FAKE 5 star reviews of this place like we did (probably posted by the restaurants own family members). Save your stomachs and your wallets the trouble by staying clear of this place!!

Only buy from this place if you don't feel like driving to another town for better food. The lady at the front desk was not friendly whatsoever. She wouldn't listened to what we were actually ordering and when I told her she got the order wrong, she shrugged me off and turned towards my partner to ask him what he wanted. Like i just told you what he wanted. I knew damn well plain white rice wasn't $6 and she kept trying to sell us fried rice instead. We pointed, we told her. Nothing. She even showed us containers of white rice and fried rice. As if we didn't know what white rice is. The food here leaves something else to be desired. To top it all off, when we first got there, front desk lady sneezed like 3 times and I didn't see her wash her hands. She's the one who handed us our food. Was not impressed and won't ever go back. I don't like leaving reviews but I will so other people know what they're getting into. Costumer service...

Food was straight trash! It was way too overpriced for the quality of it. The general tso chicken was hard & crunchy like it had been sitting in a hot box for a while. The seafood delight was a seafood don’t! Tasted like straight imitation crap! Wasn’t even cooked right. Our drinks we had to send back because they were flat so the CO2 was out in the machine. And then when I told the server she didn’t wanna believe me, even though I’ve worked in fast food where we have those drink machines and I know when it’s out and what it taste like. The server was rude, and while we were there, a girl came in to pick up her takeout order and she brought it back in two minutes later because they got the order wrong, and so the guy who took the order came out and then proceeded to argue with her and be so rude it was just an awful experience altogether, we will never...
