My wife and I drive 70 miles round trip to Emmetsburg at least twice a week, mainly to eat at this charming restaurant. Everything about it is excellent including sparkling cleanliness and authentic decor, the decorated booths being manufactured in Mexico. Service is perfect in every way. Atmosphere is fun. Prices and specials are of highest value. They now have a beverage and dessert menu so we are able to "test" various drinks without seeming too naive! Owners and employees are super friendly, competent and sincerely nice. I get to practice my Spanish with them, and they freely correct my mistakes. Salsa is manageable for even your most sensitive pallet. My fajitas arrived sizzling on my table and the smell instantly left my mouth watering. The meat was so flavorful. We were 4 adults, 1-5y.o., 1-2.5y.o. and 1-18month old...needless to say the kids made an unholy mess of their very clean dining room. She had a pleasant demeanor and kept telling gus it was ok.
