Empire Dairy King — Restaurant in Empire

So I went into order the food and grabbed the food and brought it outside for my mom and my son so we can eat in the car my mom then had to go to the bathroom so she went in to go to the bathroom and she was walking out she walked out of the restaurant and the girl that was behind the counter screamed at her it's not public restrooms. Needless to say my mom was a paying customer and she should have watched what she said and who she said it to my mom. and on top of that they messed up my kids meal they didn't give me chicken to give me two things of fries. And the cook doesn't speak any English at all I took a while for him to figure out what she was trying to tell him all the way I'm standing there waiting for something that should have already been done And my mom had a problem with their cheese sticks she said they were gross I don't know I couldn't tell. the counter was...

In from Indiana to Breckenridge for the week. Trying our various restaurants / eating establishments. Been impressed with some and disappointed in others. Meet up with family at a halfway point for some much needed time together and good-eats.

In this area/region of Colorado so many eating establishments are A. Closed mid week, out of food, no staff and not the most family friendly environment. After numerous disappointments at various restaurants we find a out of the way subtle location Empire Dairy King.

We find that a couple of the employees are from the same town we are from in Indiana. They were friendly, accommodating, quick service and responsive. They had food, employees working and a variety of eats.

First, I love this place. Everything is homemade and it has been for years. Today, I went back to work after the winter holidays. My husband went skiing and I was jealous because I knew that he would be getting himself Dairy King for a late lunch when he was done. I work in Golden, he asked me if I wanted him to bring me lunch and it just sounded so good I said yes, even though I knew it wouldn't be as good 40 minutes later. He showed up and made the magical delivery. The fries (my fav!) were a little soggy and the burger was basically all mushed together after sitting in the bag for almost an hour.
