Little local spot in a nice neighborhood with signs boasting about being a "neighborhood fave", and I definitely can see why. I was looking on Yelp for the best restaurants in the area I was staying in, and it was about 20 minutes from my hotel over by the airport. I LOVE a diner and breakfast food, so we made the trek over on our way out of town. It's a very intimate diner, and we sat at the bar. The staff was very personable, and they seemed to know a lot of the people who were currently in the restaurant, as well, seeing how their kids were and all that. The lady behind the counter was busy but still made time to chat with us and ask about us, as well as the other staff. They all seemed to get a long well, which is nice and cohesive, making for a fun environment. It didn't take long for our food to come out. I got a scramble bowl with egg, cheese, home fries, bacon, onions, and peppers, which came with toast, and I also ordered a pancake. It was all SO GOOD, lol, I packed up the rest of my bowl for leftovers and can't wait to eat them. And the prices were great. I think I ended up spending like $40~ for the two of us, plus a decent tip. If you all see this, thanks so much!! We look forward to...
Read moreExactly what you'd want from a neighborhood family breakfast/lunch diner. The food was excellent, particularly the home fries. Recommended.
The service was pretty awful (the server dropped toast on me, mumbled "sorry " and dropped off more toast a few minutes later without another word). He also asked us if we needed anything a few times and immediately walked away without waiting for an answer. We had to get up and walk to the counter for refills, syrup, to pay, etc. But the counter is also like 10 feet away. The cook and the counter person were super nice.
Prices were similar to other diners in the area. Food portions were excellent. Some of the best home fries I've ever had.
Overall, would highly recommend. Exactly the diner...
Read moreMy first time here was this Friday around 10am for my birthday breakfast/brunch with my husband who has been wanting to take me here since he has delivered mail in the area. Small and niche yet intimate and inviding. The staff are friendly and provide phenomenal service and allowed us to eat first before we found out it was cash only. Food was great with a nice giant cup of coffee (one of the plus not one of the tiny cups Denny’s or even eat n park give) very reasonable pricing and wait time for food. I have never spent so much time talking to a waitress and we are very friendly family with wait staff. I recommend chev and Rachel’s to anyone willing to hear me out. Hope to...
