Harvest Market — Restaurant in Encinitas

The concept is good but the excution was very poor. The products at the market were very marked up (not surprising). And the biggest disappointment was the food from their kitchen... the wait was long and there was a ton of flies around during this time of the year (there were even a few in their pastry cabinet). Ordered their egg sandwich and a smoothie, neither had flavours and were very memorable... in a bad way. Tried their Hibiscus Haze IPA too, it was ok. Brought our family here and had a tasty latte, some killer tacos, quesadilla but the star of the show is the great play area, petting and farm. The kids loved seeing the animals and taking a tractor ride around the farm. They even got to pick a few sugar snap peas and couldn’t stop eating them. This has all the makings to be amazing. Amazing vibe, great space, awesome concept.

But the food service is absolutely terrible at both Harvest and the taco stand. Rude staff, answering questions curtly, inability to accommodate simple needs.

The food itself is okay. Decent but not worth the price.
