âEverybodyâs talking âbout the new kid in town.â Eagles
Do you remember those occasions in school when a new kid moved to town and joined your class? Perhaps that was even you at some point. One thing for sure, those first few days and weeks were crucial during that transition. Those initial relationships could really determine your social circles for years to come.
Well we are quite pleased to announce that âVersailles Cafe & Pastriesâ became the new kid in town just two months ago and weâd recommend that you welcome them into your social circles.
Honestly itâs hard to find something NOT to like about our new friend. Our breakfast items were good and offered a bonusâŚpastries! The pastry options were not extensive, but they are prepared on site daily and feature deep relationships (Chocolate Eclair) and new acquaintances (Chouquettes).
When you stop by to introduce yourself and welcome this new friend to the neighborhood, make sure to give yourself time to do this right. This is the kind of friend that youâll plan to still have in your life years from now. Whether it is the ambiance being accentuated by the staff speaking French to one another, or the French music playing in the background, youâre gonna want to hang out here for a while. We found ourselves feeling so comfortable we helped bus our own table and nearly hugged two employees before leaving.
Before you end your visit please make sure to tell the staff that Henryâs Take says âhey!â
And thatâsâŚHenryâs...
Read moreMy daughter and I used to come here when it was called Lâ atalier Paris every week. The owners have changed and the customer service is terrible. I asked what kinds of coffees do you have, the waiter ( thin, blonde, French lady) had NO CLUE. I ordered a cappuccino to later found out there was a menu for coffees on the table. She did not even show me. We ordered a sandwich and a burger, a coffee and a mango drink, large rose macaroon. I had to get up 4 times, first, napkins are not even on the table, and then to order water, after my tini tiny coffee, then to go boxes, and the check. The lady after she gets your order, someone else brought it and she never came back to check on you at ALL!!! The dessert was as old. It was not fresh. Iâve had it before when it was fresh and the this time it was hard and not able to cut it. The bill was $65.00 with tip for 2 people and I had to get up 4 times. If you are going to charge that much, have someone come back to the table to check if you need anything, know what types of coffees you sell and have the pastries be fresh not just old. Iâm not coming back. Too expensive and you donât get any service. We are not in France, we are in the US, customer service here is...
Read moreThis is a locally owned family business you will want to visit again and again. Every time I visit Versailles Cafe & Pastries, I am always delighted. The food, both sweet and savory, is always excellent. I have never had a bad meal or pastry item. I love their breakfasts (crepes, omelets, egg sandwiches, eggs Benedict), all the pastries (almond croissants - YUM), and other sweet treats. I almost always order soup and a sandwich for lunch, so I have leftovers. I always leave with something for later. My parents and kids request special desserts from Versailles for our special occasions. For birthdays, we often get an assortment of desserts to share, but for Christmas Eve, we have to have the hazelnut Yule log. I have eaten at some of the top restaurants in the country, and Versailles Cafe & Pastries food is equal to or, in many cases, better. The service is great, and I love to come eat either by myself with a novel or meet friends in the cafe to catch up. The owner can often be seen or heard chatting with customers in English or French. She is a talented lady who takes great pride in her...
