Replying to @cooking and auto detailing Totally forgot to get the New York thin pizza but the pizza was still good and the customer service even better I would definitely go again and recommend for others it’s very small and nice inside. Amazing service again #ct #lebronjames #birthday #pizza #rate #daveportnoy

I have been buying pizza at Danny’s for over 30 years.- lived in Enfield 1966- 2004 even after living in Cromwell for the last 18 years every chance I get I stop in for a Danny’s Special. Well this afternoon - we ordered an XL Special- never saw this size but never look at the menus- - I was hesitant and said to wife- dough to pizza toppings on 2” diameter larger could be problematic. So started eating the pizza on way home - very disappointed. Overcooked, the Crest is the worst I ever had at Danny’s. Those who know Danny’s you have come to expect a crispy gold brown bottom and an outer crust that is crispy- golden brown- and a wonderful inside. This did not even come close. The pizza lacked sauce, cheese, small pieces of hamburger and red peppers were almost non- existent. In fact my wife used to complain that there were too many toppings- If you love Danny’s you know the slices on a Danny’s Special used to eat like a meal. This was almost like a stale crest- the kind there the dough was not allowed to raise or sit or something - dry inside. Danny’s wife was working- obviously not checking quality. I don’t normally write reviews. *** I will encourage other to try Danny’s because it’s a family business and great pizza 98 out of a 100 times. I wish I was not half way home or I would have returned and assume they would have taken care of me. On a positive note we ordered 10 Wings and those were great! Call this review tough love from a loyal customer. Don’t skimp on the toppings- people will pay more for quality. Have someone pay attention to the quality- (today at 1.30pm the Resturant was full of people dinning) however the phone was not ringing off the hook. Heck I even called giving them almost an hour notice saying I would like to pick up at 1.30. I’ll be back again but if this were my first visit, I would cross this off my list since there are plenty of pizza joints around and this one experience would move me to another pizza joint. Sorry Danny- go one vacation and shut down- rest up and check the quality when you get back. Reflect on the review because it’s about how you built the business- charge more- Watch quality.

So I’ve gotten plenty of orders from them but always just pizza. Usually the people on the phone are rude but that’s whatever. That doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is when I ordered an Adult chicken tender meal, and when I opened the box I got chicken cutlets cut up. So I called the restaurant and the first girl I talked to said that’s how they’re tenders have always been. Then she passed the phone to another rude chick and she said they ran out of tenders and that she just wanted to get the order out. She then proceeded to tell me she either had to tell me they were out of tenders or just send the order out. I then told her I would’ve preferred that I was told they had no more tenders and I would’ve picked another entree. However she then cut me off, and said exactly “well it’s the same chicken I don’t understand what the problem is”. I’ll tell u what the problem is sweety, when you order tenders, the customer expects tenders. If u go to a steak house and order a filet mignon then get a ribeye then be told “well it’s the same meat I don’t understand the problem”, no one’s gonna sit there and say “oh yea ok!” No. This place is horrible. So just a FYI if u want tenders make sure they have tenders and not chicken cutlets! Smh

First off I only eat there because it's close and they deliver. That said there food is mediocre at best. Greasy... it's an understatement. I think they dump grease on there food literally drips with it. They constantly get orders wrong. Nothing complex just "no onions please" and they can't get that right. And there prices are through the roof. This is not a 5 star restaurant so a large grinder at $18!!!! Is way over the top. It jumped from $14.25 that's a large increase in price. When the delivery driver came to my door with 2 grinders and a small pepperoni pizza and said "$48" I was literally speachless. Not one more dime from me I'm done paying high prices for poorly prepared bad tasting food. Bottom line Danny's can needs to go out of business the owners literally don't care. They don't care about cooking the food correctly. Overcooked hockey puck burgers are the norm must be playing Pokemon go while my food dies slowly on the greasy nasty grill. And they don't care about what customers think it's clearly seen in there attitude in person and over the phone. I'd also like to make a request. Not to Danny's but to anybody making a review. Please don't give 5 stars based on how a cheese stick was. Anybody can open a frozen bag of pre prepared food and fry it for a predetermined amount of time. Although I've had many instances of over fried food from Dannys but you get the piont It just make you...

I have lived in Enfield since 1995. Danny's Pizza was the first place my family got pizza back then. It has a special place in my heart. I've ordered a pie and almost every single restaurant in this town that serves pizza and if they all went out of business the only one I would want to keep is Danny's Pizza because of nostalgic reasons and I like their sauce and their toppings. Though nostalgia side here's how I would judge them if I'm an out-of-towner. I would give their food a four out of five because their Pizza is unique. To me it's different than any pizza place you'll find an Enfield. their service on the other hand I have often joked with my wife that their service is terrible. The last time I ordered over the phone I joked with my wife to prepare herself for bad service and as soon as the phone picked up all we heard was the word "hold". I'm sure the woman said please hold but it went by so fast all we heard was the word hold. like I said they hold a special place in my heart so I'm probably going to always order from them regardless. Service though I have to give them two out of five. cleanliness honestly I'm going to say three out of five because it's been a long time since I've been inside I don't remember how clean things were so I'll just say three out of five. Atmosphere is your stereotypical Small Town pizzeria so I would say three out of five for...
