To celebrate my sons birthday he wanted some Mexican food and after reading through dozens of reviews of Mexican restaurants I discovered that everyone in this area is absolutely horrible, but... there is this extremely incredible Mexican food truck hidden in this one area and it's called Mauricio's Kitchen. It appears this is run by a husband and his wife. I am so incredibly happy that I found this and read through the reviews. This is a very cute little spot, although is so freaking hot here, almost 100F every day... we decided to eat here and outside. They have shaded picnic tables with umbrellas and we came in the evening around 6pm, so it was probably 91F lol... My family loved their food and I must say, as someone who's worked under some incredible Mexican executive chefs. Damn, my pork, fish and shrimp were flipping amazing!!! Seriously some of the best Mexican food I ever ate. Perfectly seasoned meats, onions wow... perfectly cooked rice. Hands down the best food truck I ever ate at and I had quite a few. If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, you absolutely will not be disappointed coming here and the owners were very kind. Good customer service. I'd definitely eat here often if I lived here. The local Hispanic population eats here, that says everything you need to know. Solid 9.5/10.

I had 3 chicken tacos & my wife had 2 ground beef tacos & they were delicious...The folks running this no frills food truck were friendly & the food is reasonably priced...We might go get lunch there again tomorrow... UPDATE: We have got takeout here twice since my initial review & the food & service & friendliness of the owners as nothing short of outstanding...

3 supreme tacos (2 hard shells $ 1 soft) 2 steak tacos (soft) 1 side of rice & 1 side of beans $20 + I came at a busy time around lunch time and waited 15+ minutes. I'm visiting the area & I was looking for one of those taco trucks from back in the day where you could buy a bundle of tacos for like $10 dollars. That was in South Georgia.

Moving to Florida from New York, one of the things I missed most was the authentic, small business vibe—where you actually get to know the people behind the food. This taco truck brought that feeling back in the best way. Not only did I get to meet the owner personally, but you can tell this is a true family-owned business with heart.

They pay close attention to detail, from presentation to flavor. These are not your typical Americanized tacos. They serve real, authentic Mexican dishes you don’t usually see on a standard menu—I'm talking about regional specialties and flavors that taste like home-cooked meals. You can tell they don’t cut corners. They use real Mexican cheese (yes, the good kind!) and quality ingredients across the board.

Highly recommend if you're craving...

What a great find! We were looking for a quick fast food style eatery in Englewood and stumbled upon this delicious, well run food truck. The hostess was friendly and brought our food and beverage out to us. The Mexican food was authentic, yummy, and a good portion. We ate outside at the picnic tables with the traffic raging by which was our only disappointment. If this was in a store front building we would likely be regular customers. We had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and the pulled pork wet burrito. Both topped with the spicy habanero sauce to add a little extra zing. We recommend both dishes. We will...
