Some friends went to Sarasota and knowing I am Cornish bought back some "Original" Pasties, I was excited as I hadn't had in a while. What a disappointment! The ingredients are correct except for the addition of some seasonings which totally ruining the flavor. The filling is also pre cooked like you might do with a pie, this not the way to make a Pastie. Please don't use the Words "Original", "Tradional" or even Cornish with the pies (can't call them Pasties.) My mother is an prize winning Pastie maker so I know one when I see it. I will say that I did enjoy it. The pastry was good my only issue is the description....
Read moreWell we drove 45 minutes each way only to find out that they were closed on Saturday. Their sign hanging in the window states 11-3 on Saturdays. Could they not take 30 seconds and update their sign and hours on google which both state they are open Saturday's 11-3? So glad I wasted 2 hours and all that gas money to find out they were closed. Nothing makes a customer more angry then arriving and finding out a business is closed when they state they are to be open. ...

These are the Genuine deal, no awful imitations here . The soups are to die for also plus all the sweets that are homemade.
