On Wednesday, July 30, we had lunch at this restaurant, and unfortunately, it left us with a disappointing experience. Firstly, our meal arrived significantly delayed, necessitating the use of takeout. Despite the presence of four tables with eight individuals and the two of us, the restaurant failed to provide timely service!! We requested that our meal be packed in to-go boxes, despite my not caring for takeout. Regarding the food, both of us ordered Ruben’s, which were subpar. The meat was excessively tough and stringy, excessively thick, and overly salty. It was extremely difficult to chew. The bottom bread was not adequately toasted, resulting in sogginess. I attempted to try the onion rings since we were told they were good, but they were excessively oily, soggy, and the breading was coming off. My friend ordered fries, which were equally greasy and soggy, and lacked flavor. After completing our business, we returned to the restaurant to present the owner with the unsatisfactory food. She appeared somewhat irritated and asserted that their establishment was a five-star restaurant and had personally packed the boxes. If this were the case, the restaurant should have demonstrated greater attentiveness, as we observed her briefly depart and our boxes were not delivered for a considerable period. She offered a refund, which was a positive outcome. Based on this experience, we have decided to refrain from returning to this restaurant. UPDATE: I know you're trying to make the customer look bad, which is not a very professional thing to do. If you talk to your server she would have told you that we did not ask for takeout boxes until 45 minutes later. And yes, we brought our food back a couple hours later because we needed to eat and went somewhere else because we had appointments to attend. And yes, we did try to eat the food but was very disgusted about it. We are both cooks with over 50 years combined. We know how the brisket should be cooked in order for it to be tender. You do not need a refined pallet to know when meat has not been cooked properly. If you had been kind instead of leaving the young waitresses to take care of this situation, then they would've been no issues. Instead, you were arrogant and defensive, even after we try to explain to you the situation.

Could be a really cute place but when you enter the floors look filthy(perhaps they ripped up the previous floor but did not sand to restore the old flooring) To the right of the entrance looks like a sterno/buffet table, it was not being used. It's looking shabby so covering it with a table cloth would be an easy fix. As for the help, the staff was kind, they were not very quick, the kitchen had problems and they opted not to tell us so we waited so long to get a taco to go whereas they could’ve just said can you pick something else because there was a problem with the fryer 😩 I tried the mac & cheese because normally when a place has that many different varieties it’s good well this was dry. They really need to serve it with more sauce so that by the time you get to eat it, it’s not evaporated. The fries are really dirty looking. I had paid extra for onion rings which were a greasy, stuck together mess. It was so soggy with oil probably because the fryer wasn’t working right, but they didn’t tell us that either. Lastly, we had a reuben bcz the waitress said they cook the corned beef in house. I asked for it extra grilled to not be soggy. WELL, what arrived as shown in the pic was a half grilled, poor sliced chewy mess. My husband tried to eat it as it was falling apart bcz it there was a grease grilled. I took a bite & the texture was bad which is sad because the flavor was good. When we told the girl she could take it away I really didn’t imagine that she would have left it on the Bill. When I asked her about that, she said well, your husband ate it. I picked up his half of the sandwich which had 2 bites out of it, drooping not crunchy. She the manager wasn’t in.. Well, she should’ve really called the manager if she didn’t have authority to remove the Charge because that wasn’t good customer service. We had eaten lunch and cane back to try the mac n cheese 4 dinner. At minimum she could’ve at least offered us a slice of cake to split. I hope that management takes this in consideration because they have a really nice space and they could make it look better and pay attention to presentation of food. I said to the waitress. when you saw that stringy meat on that plate, you should’ve handed it back to the kitchen and asked if they could remake it.

Was staying walking distance away. Looked at the menu and was drawn in with my adult son. Went back again for lunch the next day. All the food was excellent. We had poutine, brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, onion rings, fish sandwich, fish wrap, Caesar wrap, and Ruben. Plus a cheesecake for dessert. Poutine. Excellent fries underlying the massive portion. The gravy was spot on and the curds from the dairy nearby were sublime. Brussels we're charred and the flavor with the maple syrup glaze was to die for. I'd like my Brussels a little less crispy but I get what they were going for and and it hit the spot. The mac and cheese had a bit of breadcrumb crumble on top that if mixed in would make the mac perfect. I didn't mix so the mac by itself could have used a sprinkle of salt. But with the crumbs it was perfect. The onion rings might have been best I've ever had. Light batter but most of all the rings had some caramelization going on. Don't know how they did that but damn. The fish sandwich. Delicious. Meaty cod battered just perfectly. The tartar sauce light and tasty. Not overpowering. The fish wrap takes you to the Caribbean. Perfectly crispy fried piece of fish and the veggie flavor in the wrap just took me to someplace warm and summery when it was 5° outside. The Caesar wrap had me eating it quietly. My son knows when I'm not talking while eating that the food is good. Such intense flavors so good. The Ruben. Hearty rich meaty flavor. Not overly salty. Such a satisfying and warming sandwich The cheesecake was also over the top peanut butter flavored. But such a delicate flavor. I live in Brooklyn but will find my way back. Thank you Heidi and co.

This restaurant and its adjacent store set the standard for food and hospitality in Franklin County. The atmosphere is cozy, homey, and at the same time eclectic, vibrant and familiar. The service is attentive, calm and timely. The food is absolutely delectable -- we went for an early start to my husband's birthday for dinner and sat in the window on a Saturday night, and I honestly felt transported.

We had the most fabulous entrees. He had a burger, cooked to medium rare perfection with chunky bacon jam, and I had the goat cheese ball salad with (tons of) local greens. The salad was enormous and perfect for a meal, and the goat cheese balls are everything I dreamed of -- creamy, crispy, light and decadent. His burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries excellently seasoned, and their drinks list extensive. They make a wonderful gin and tonic.

I called a week ago to ask about a homemade strawberry rhubarb pie for pick up as a surprise for dessert, which they happily accommodated. When I arrived, not only did I leave with a beautiful pie, but a face-sized homemade maple-glazed cinnamon roll that served as a morning birthday cake for him. Between the two of us, we couldn't finish it. It was delicious!

The store attached is not something to be missed and a perfect way to wander off the delightful food coma brought on by their meals. They have everything from gifts, incense, fudge, cotton candy, boba tea and coffee drinks, chocolates and truffles, an antique candy wall, sitting area, beautiful plants for sale and more. It's equally as cozy as the restaurant, with nooks full of treasures and so much to explore.

The baker on-staff stocks the cabinet at the register with excellent pastries, including some top-rate cannolis, and the New York style cheesecake is almost too beautiful to eat. But I will.

We are planning our next trip to have rounds of appetizers with cocktails -- they all sound delicious, and if we'd had any this go around we wouldn't have been able to finish our meals!

I am very grateful that such an establishment has made its way to Enosburg, and I encourage any and all to visit, whether for gifts or eats. The dedication to quality and service that Heidi, Zoe and their family deliver is outstanding, and the effort they have made to transform an old set of buildings into an upscale dining and shopping experiences is impressive. We are excited to return, and very glad that top-quality hospitality is only...
