We were not planning on this stop, but a flat tire the night before had us dropping our car off at the Les Schwab first thing in the morning. The only breakfast place in walking distance was Sugar Time Bakery. It had good reviews and so we walked down the street to this cute café.
We were not expecting our breakfast burritos to be as big as my forearm, and packed with flavor. We have both had lots of breakfast burritos, but these were better than all of them combined. Our only mistake was ordering two, because we barely finish the one we shared. The techs at Les Schwab were more than happy to take the extra burrito off our hands when we offered.
I don't care if you are in Joseph, Enterprise, Wallowa, or even Imnaha, you should make the trek here for these burritos at least once. If you do, you will probably be like us and try to go back the very next day. Unfortunately, it was closed on that day.
The place is colorful, and decorated with several clocks that are fun to look at the different designs. The service was fast and very professional. Everything is clean and orderly. It was fantastic.
This is your best breakfast option in this area where option are plentiful....
Read moreHighly recommend having a meal here. We stopped to buy some sweet treats and had lunch when we realized they did more than pies and cookies. I had a wrap with bison meat (forget the name, something like highlander), daughter had a panini with turkey, apple, and blue cheese. I forget what my bf had. Sandwiches come with a large pile of kettle chips and a delicious pickle spear. Water self serve on the side in mason jars. Don't pass up the snickerdoodle cookies or the pie. Monster cookies were meh, for us...it had large oats in it and a chunky texture. Bf had blackberry pie and said it was awesome. I and daughter had slices of butterfinger pie. I was not expecting it to so cheese-cakey and did not love it as much as i was hoping. But if you enjoy cheesecake it's probably great...and my thought was 1 slice is big enough and more importantly, rich enough, to cut in half and share with someone and I usually would not say that. It was that rich. We made a point of stopping a second time as we left back out of town a few days later and i was delighted to see they had a strawberry rhubarb pie and i bought the whole thing. It was 25$ for the whole thing. It...
Read moreI travel this great country as an owner operator/over the road truck driver. I absolutely adore my job. I love traveling and I get paid to do it. One of my favorite parts is getting to eat at small, local places. I rarely eat at a chain unless I have no other option. Anyway, I'm in this beautiful town of Enterprise, and I decided to try this little bakery. First.. the owner is so sweet and cool. Secondly it's a great little atmosphere. Thirdly and most important... the food here is straight up off the hook! I could not decide between quiche and biscuits and gravy.. so I got both. I have had biscuits and gravy in the deep south, and the high north, new England and everywhere in between. This place had the absolute best biscuits I ever tasted... and the sausage gravy was absolutely incredible. The quiche was just as incredible. I hope to get more loads up here so I can frequent this...
