Full House — Restaurant in Essex

I've been enjoying food from this restaurant for the past 3 years. I have eaten at every Chinese restaurant within 10 miles. Some with regret.

This is my number 1!

I primarily get one of their lunch specials. At under $6 (plus tax and tip), with large portion sizes, this is a deal that can't be beat. Your choice comes with white rice, fried rice, or pork fried rice with a side of soup. I have never had an entree I didn't enjoy.

I love the shrimp lunch specials. Most of them use large fresh shrimp. The shrimp lo mein I had the other day had smaller shrimp and delicious noodles.

The hot and spicy beef is peppers and onions with tender beef. The chicken dishes use white breast meat and all dishes have fresh hand prepped vegetables. Tofu dishes use a firm tofu that is great fried.

Here's a secret: 9 out of 10 Chinese restaurants don't fry their fried rice for lunch specials. They cook the rice with some soy sauce and mix in some ingredients when serving.

Full House actually puts the rice IN the wok and does it right! With carrots, peas, onions, and roasted pork, the side to your lunch is PROPER.

We ordered over the phone, when we arrived we were told someone took our order, so they were making fresh! After still waiting another 15 minutes, the lady who was GIVEN the wrong order came back with the food! They tried to just refresh the meat and give us the rest that came back. We refused and asked for all fresh, as this would be illegal to do. Wouldn’t you know it, when we got the food home the Crab rangoons were definitely not fresh, and neither were the egg rolls! First visit here tonight. We recently moved here in July and have tried a couple of different Chinese Resteraunts. We were disappointed and begining to think there was no hope.
