The Bridges Family have taken their prowess for smoking competitions in Texas and opened the finest restaurant in Eufaula, Alabama. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. It’s obvious that a lot of thought, care and, yes, money went into the decor when they decided to rehabilitate an old dilapidated seafood place and turned It into an extraordinary place to dine.
They are open 6 days a week For lunch and supper. I have heard some folks say “oh, it’s expensive”! No, it really is not. If McDonald’s can charge $18.00 for a Big Mac meal which is junk food- then you will be pleasantly surprised and delighted with getting real-good- hot food in a warm, gracious atmosphere served by folks who want to be there and who want to make your experience a great one.
In Eufaula, there are few places you want to take your sweetheart for a special meal to celebrate a special event. You can feel comfortable celebrating your occasion here. Got guests from out of town?? Treat them to a wonderful meal.
Since they opened in December- me and my hubby have been there 7 times. We have not been disappointed…EVER!!
The Bridges family have never had a restaurant before. They will tell you that. They are learning as they go and grow. So be patient if you need something- their goal is to make it right. Give them the chance to do that for you. You will not regret it
Having a wheat allergy-I cannot eat their bread-which my friends and husband say is great. So I order their smoked sausage- or my favorite “Cowboy Balls” which is to die for. It’s all bits of all their smoked meats and shrimp, cheese and jalapeño made into a ball- wrapped in bacon and cooked and glazed. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Their homemade BBQ sauce is exquisite with a teriyaki base. Oh, yum!! They have the big variety of side dishes you have seen anywhere. You will find something that tickles the taste buds.
From Steak to burgers to brisket, chicken, pork- amazing appetizers, great iced tea, sodas, beer and all the free smiles from the staff - you will enjoy Texas Smoking Guns on highway 431 in Eufaula, AL. That...
Read moreWell, we gave it another chance tonight. This was our 4th visit after swearing we wouldn't go back after 3rd. New management pleaded with us to give the another chance. So, I asked waitress if they kept the que running to ensure fresh BBQ. She stated it has been raining so no. The rain started Tuesday and it is Thursday night. So the BBQ is at least 3 days old! I did not order BBQ to say the least. I had the cowboy burger. Mistake. It was bread, dry patty, and 2 slices of onion for 13 bucks. It also had sausage and briskett on it, although the sausage was inedible and briskett had a funny taste. At burger King I can get a full combo with drink and side for 10 bucks! And it is the same size patty! I was offered a side and was not told it wasn't included in the 13 bucks! Didn't even ask me how I wanted it cooked. Service, she was sweet and took good care of us. She can't help what the establishment does, and was tipped well. Not serving fresh BBQ explains why the que is wat it is. Heard it straight from the employee. Yall really need to take a look at your performance. Providing quality que requires 24/7 attention to a full time que. The que should be fired at all times Providing fresh BBQ to clients that are looking at menu with high end pricing. It is obvious owners wanted this just didn't know how to do it. Hiring the right folks to show you how can make you successful. We really tried yall. Wish it could...
Read moreWe drove 60 miles just to eat there and is one of the worst meals we have ever had. My husband ordered the steak fettuccine and side of onion rings. I ordered the Chipped Brisket add cheese with french fries . We ordered an appetizer , fried pickles. The server informed us that they were having to make fresh noodles, there would be an additional 15 min wait, we could change our order or we could wait and they would not charge for the pickles. At this time we ordered the cheese curds .The pickles were to salty and very oily. The cheese curds were great. My husband's fettuccine noodles were definitely not "fresh" they were a yellow on the edges, tough and dry on the ends. The steak appeared washed out, mushy and odd tasting. The Onion rings were spot on perfect. My brisket sandwich came several minutes after my husband's meal, minus the cheese and then the fries were to salty. We waved, down waitress and pointed out the cheese and she said "oh yeah".I could not eat the brisket tasted old and salty and looked like final dreggs ,of the I asked the server for a carry out and I put the sandwich and the french fries in it to take home but my husband and I decided to just leave it there because was to salty to give to our pets. The server was sweet and accommodating.. The atmosphere was pleasant. The restaurant was...
