Highlands Brew Pub — Restaurant in Eugene

Total dive bar! We wanted lunch and and a drink after a long hike so we ended up here. My menu was covered in dirty shoe prints which was gross. I ordered a burger and my friend ordered a Philly cheese steak. I'm fine with bar food but my burger was way more than well done, dry, hard to swallow without that drink to wash it down. My friends Philly was burnt, totally inedible, not just the black shared onion but the chunks of burger were completely burnt. When I went to pay the waitress said " I saw her Philly was burnt so I'll give you %10 off." Really? You saw it but didn't say anything or offer her a new one? I'm not one to complain but I'd drive hours from here if I was starving to death before I'll even go back. There's lots of good bar food in Eugune so I suggest you eat...

I have been here 3 times. The first time, I sat at a table and read the menu. No one came to take my order (I was alone). I left after about 20 minutes. There were 8 other patrons in the bar, it was not busy at all. The second time, I went for drinks with someone else. We waited a quite bit considering there was only one other person in there, but we were finally helped. The counter was a little dirty, but not the worst I have seen. I did go a 3rd time, this time to meet a group of friends. The gentleman working this night was great. So I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I had been to this place a lot normally a great place but tonight was different me and my friend had 3 pitchers about 6 beers a piece normally we have more but my friend had a Trump shirt on and one bar tender didn't like it he asked for another and he said not with that shirt on but the other bar tender helped us we was just shooting some pool and asked for a forth and they told us we was over are limit normally we have a few more anyways they obviously don't respect others political views I don't remember his name exactly but everyone seems to call him Moody mike I don't think I will be going back it just felt wrong the way I was treated when I was clearly not drunk...
