We have hosted our annual Charity Golf Tournament for the past three years. This year, I must say, was one of the best to date. And that had a lot to do with the great care and attentiveness that was provided by Sam. He was cheerful, delightful, helpful and hard working. His energy matched ours, and helped get us through a very rainy day with a lot of positivity and good vibes. Sam took care of getting our golfers' carts, volunteer carts, and filled the drink carts with False Idol donated brews. This year, every golfer was able to enjoy their free beer, and then some... Sam also helped hang our signs, and set up inside for the silent auction and raffle. He even made sure that the lunch provided with registration was ready to go, even though the players started to come in early because of the storms. This is a great course with many challenging holes and great amenities. We use some of the par threes for our hole in one prizes, which provide a lot of excitement for the tournament. The course even has a great putting green so you can practice your short game for those close head-to-head battles. There's an outdoor food station and bar with ample shaded seating and great tunes in the area expertly coined as The Backyard. The indoor lounge has a great menu and bar with great servers and bartenders, and provides a great break from the heat or rain. The course is well maintained and the staff is very helpful, especially Sam. The folks are the pro shop are quite knowledge, and able to provide excellent recommendations on gear, or any golfing questions you may have. They can even schedule lessons if needed. We will be back next year, and hopefully Sam will be assigned to our tournament once again. Feel free to come join us for a great cause in May, or come through to play the course, have a meal, and have fun with family and friends whenever you're in the area. Bear Creek Golf Club has got it all.

My recommendation is to play literally anywhere else before booking a round here. This course is really gone downhill. Used to be really good condition, fair price, one of my favorite places to come play. Now, course is in rough shape and they're charging $83 whether you want to walk or ride, doesn't matter. I will say the greens are in decent shape, and some holes are okay, but large portions of the fairways and rough areas are completely torn up and there is mud all over this course, large patches of dirt and mud even in places where the course isn't under construction or torn up. The fairways are also very bumpy and uneven, large potholes everywhere. The west course has a decent layout, but to charge that much to play in conditions like this, really doesn't make sense. Definitely not worth the fee. Overpriced. I hope they are planning to put all that money into the course because it really needs it.

Played the west course. The course has greened-up sooner, and is in better condition, than some others I've played recently. These include; Winstar, Champions Circle, and Fossil Creek, to name a few. Fairways really decent, comparatively. You can play it down. Fast greens that are still a bit thin, but putt smooth and true. Good maintenance throughout course and facilities. All sand traps clean and well raked. All staff personnel friendly and helpful. One small gripe: it would be nice if indicators were added to the flagsticks to show pin placement, (front-middle-back), as some of the greens are elevated. Several shots that I thought were right could have been one less or one more club. And no, I'm not getting a range finder! Highly recommend!

I made a tee time for 10:48 Sunday. I get there and the guy with the horned rim glasses tells me there is a frost delay. I was told it would be at least two hours. I knew there was a tournament going on and told him I would come back at 12. I get there and I’m checking in. He pulls up my 10:48 tee time and I pay. He gives me the receipt because of course I have to show the starter. I pay for a cart for 9 holes. I went down stairs and there are no carts. A attendant tells me a cart won’t be available until 1. No big deal, I’ll just walk. I walk to the first tee, no one is in line. I give the starter my receipt. The following is what really sucks. He looks at me like I am crazy. He tells me he can’t get me on today. I asked why did they take my money if I can’t get on. He looks at me again like I am the idiot and says he doesn’t know. I go back to the clubhouse (without a cart). I asked a different guy why did you charge me when I couldn’t get on. He of course says he doesn’t know. At that point I leave. I called to ask for a manager and I could have guessed there was no one available. At that point I finally got an apology. I will speak with a manager and will not be going back to...

Both East and West track are fun an challenging for all skill levels. The back tees will require some accurate and long tee shots and can really increase the difficulty in some holes. A lot of changes in elevation and if you hit the ball high keep in mind the proximity to the airport. No you won't hit a plane even thou some come in really low but once the ball goes above the protection from the canopy, the wind draft can be significantly different. Now the 2 biggest misses here are: 1) They should list their aeration schedule online or at least note it when booking online 2) their drving range is flat out horrible, unless you're playing on a weekend when you can hit off the grass, even then it's not really leveled, the mats are the worst mats I have ever seen in my life, it literally feels like they threw a green silk sheet over the cart path. If you are like me and like to play on weekdays when pace of play is much faster this is a huge let down and deterrent if I want to hit balls before my round. Otherwise, the tracks are good and they've always been...
