DO NOT go here if you’re pressed for time. We had an 1 1/2hr between games and decided to come as it was next door to TX Star baseball fields. BIG mistake! No one to greet or sit us down so we found the bar around the corner. 3-4 girls constantly at the bar without any acknowledgement to help. Finally flagged one to bring us waters and forty minutes later we are still sitting waiting for our food, no refills. Had to walk up to bar again to get a refill. A guy came in looked maybe to be a manager but he as well, never once approached us. We had to flag him down to get to-go boxes. Never finished out food, left my soup, and we ate in the car. Never have I been to a restaurant with so much negligence. Not busy either and plenty of help - just untrained and no personality for customer service. Food was okay but like I said, we ate a few bites and left. $45 for a box full of stress, as we were trying to hurry and make it back to the game with only 2 minutes left - and if we didn’t wave down the staff and go ourselves to the bar to get refills, I suspect we would be there for another hour. This place is for the elderly with hours and hours to spare. My kids could’ve shown the boss man how it’s done - his calling is most likely elsewhere, away...

If I was rating solely on quality of food & value, I would give it 5 stars. The reason I give it 3 stars is because if it wasn't for the food, I would give it 1 star. I've been eating lunch here for over 20 years. Today, like other days recently, you cannot find a parking spot. There is an entire section reserved for restaurant patrons only, yet when you enter there are not that many people inside. I believe the golfers, who you would think would be in decent shape & able to walk from the outer parking lot, are the ones who take up the parking spaces & mgmt does nothing about it. Surely if they have time to golf in the middle of the day, they have plenty of time to spare unlike those of us who are trying to eat lunch on a limited lunch break. The other reason I give it 3 stars is because they have a patio area & it sits on a golf course, but even on a gorgeous day they don't seat anyone out there because of not enough staffing. It's a beautiful day!! Shut down part of the inside if you must but let your customers enjoy...

This is truly a hidden gem, maybe only because the last thing you think of is golf course restaurant? Heard about it via the River Trails Nextdoor app and decided to check it out. It’s got a great, respectful atmosphere. You can step out and see the rolling golf course which is a sight in itself. The food here is always excellent (though they could have a bigger steak ;-)) the menu also offers monthly specials which adds a nice little variety in accommodation to the regular menu. I will admit that the waitstaff could be a little more on the ball, but they still are respectful. The desserts are spectacular; crème brûlée, chocolate cake, bread pudding and pecan pie are the usuals, they usually have a monthly special as well (oct2019: apple pie à la mode ). I can’t write this review without mentioning their breakfast and how great it is! If you’re trying to decide where to eat right now that is quality in pricing and food, somewhere perhaps new, for breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner, here is your...

I usually order from here take-out. They have a number of entrees that are really well done and value for money as well. People talk about the size of the chicken fried steak and I saw one picture of it here, but it is the "single barreled chicken fried steak". I've attached a picture of the double barreled one, just the steak. Since it's take-away, it's on my plate at home and I took the image with just the steak so you can see it unaccompanied. It came with a side of country gravy, okra, corn and bread. They were all exactly what you'd want. I could cut the steak with a fork. Batter was just right. The cost? $14. I'm impressed. I think google is cropping the image. I can't tell because I haven't posted as I'm typing this, but it looks like the preview is cutting off the end of the tape measure. FWIW, it says 12".

We have dined at Ravens for many years , but the last couple of times the food has disappointed us. Tonight was the worst chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak we have ever eaten. The crust was over a quarter inch thick on each side and totally inedible. What you see in the attached photo is the huge pile of crust that coated the steak. There were maybe 5 bites of meat hidden inside. Obviously they have changed their food supplier as the crust was as good as anywhere in the past.
