Los Encinos Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Eupora

Horrible "eatery" (TLDR at the end) Food needs desperate reworking, I ordered a beef enchilada, cheese quesadilla, and refried beans. They served it to me all in a tin take out sorta plate and was a soggy mess. The "tortilla" they used for the enchilada was nasty almost the same texture and taste as those bitter tasting tortillas you get from wic. The cheese "quesadilla" was decent (can't really mess that up honestly) it was more like a cheese taco really just a small tortilla folded over taco style. Non the less it was saturated by the refried beans as well which by the way tasted almost identical to the kind you buy in a can at the local Piggly Wiggly. The whole meal also seemed to be lacking any real seasoning either, all by and by completely dissatisfied with my "meal" and won't be spending another penny there again. The "food" was cheaply made with cheap ingredients and poorly produced/plated, so much for "authentic Mexican restaurant/food". This all occurred around 7:30 pm 3/12/2019 first and last time I will visit this "restaurant", more like wanna be fast food sports bar (in a dry county so no bevs just pleanty of TV's to watch the game though). So I would advise any passer by and even locals to steer clear or at best be weary of what they order at this "establishment". TLDR: bad food, poor plating, and bad experience...

If i could give them a zero i would. The owner has blocked me on Facebook on several pages because i decided to use the platform the police(yes, the police that were called by them) advised to use. The staff is rude, racist and down right disgusting. It disheartens me that while in Black history month in 2025 after decades of dealing with things of this nature humans would know how to treat other people regardless of race as human beings but in this case, that’s not what happened. Imagine never drinking a drink and NOT wanting your money back but to swap it out because the sip you did taste you realized you couldn’t drink it/didn’t like it to be told you couldn’t and because you refused to pay for something you tried to send back cause you couldn’t drink it(all other purchases were paid for in full) the police were called on you when you feared for your life after the waitress began to walk up on you as if she was going to hit you. You then tell her that you would knock her out if she hits you(warning comes before destruction). When the police get there they treat you rude as well even threatening to have someone pick you up for a DUI(with no breathalyzer and one drink). Whew! Today has been a day. If you require respect, don’t visit here. Especially if you’re of color. Our kind...

Our waiter was very kind and attentive. I tipped her well. The food however was a mess. My dish had beef, chicken, and shrimp and rice. It came as a mostly tasteless mixture that became one sticky mass as I ate. The beef and chicken were tiny slivers that I suspect came in a bag already cooked ready to heat up with the rice. My dinner guest had the enchiladas and they were also a tasteless mass of brown stuff. There were tiny amounts of lettuce and tomato but not much. It was more like a garnish of lettuce & tomato. This food is not authentic Mexican and it's not even good...
