My first time visiting Applewood Kitchen and Bar.
First impression is alot of work went into the atmosphere. Beautiful tabels of re-purposed wooden doors. The staff itself were very friendly, we did have to walk from restaurant to bar to find them. (Which to me isn't a problem as it allowed me to see the beauty and time put into the building.)
Our server was a lovely lady by the name if Kara. She was very friendly and kind. Always checked up on us and kept our drinks full.
Now to the food and drinks.
I ordered a French Lavender mixed drink. And boy, was that drink delicious; reminded me of a nice summer day. It was refreshing but also very tasty.
I ordered the Venison&Boar pasta. Starting off it was very beautiful to look at and smelled even better. I was served a rather large portion. (Had to take some home!) The pasta was cooked very well and the meat/mushroom mix was mixed and cooked to perfection.
My only complaint on the pasta is I myself would have liked more meat in it. Yes there was a decent amount. But more meat would have been appreciated with the amount of mushrooms.
I didn't capture a photo but i did order the apple cider cheesecake. It looked so good I didn't even think of taking a photo until after it had been eaten.
A very nice mixture of apple cider and cheese cake. Not overly sweet, but also tasted of the fall season.
My partner ordered The Burger. He really enjoyed the burger. Cooked well and very juicy. Only complaint was the amount of pickles. Ended pulling out almost 4 pickles and could still taste them.
Overall I do think this bar&kitchen is a great addition to greenville. And they have really...
Read moreOld west cool atmosphere, fireplace, huge connected rooms, and bar, airy and comfy..and a barbershop, YES! A barbershop in its own enclosed room, too! Old fashioned and totally operational. Try the tender, fresh, homegrown Michigan beef steaks or chicken, ALL of the entrees are Primo! All the entrees are generous and have a wide selection of sauces and taste simply amazing! We had the burgers topped with everything, micro greens too perfect, freshly picked, and healthy! The french fries were perfectly fried and lightly seasoned. The libations are plentiful. BUT THERES MORE!Have an appetizer to start, try the roasted brussel sprouts, with thin slices of apple and a lovely sauce... The best I've ever had. Tiffany, our lovely staff server, was fast, informative, and absolutely charming! Try all the 👏 amazing ciders! The cinnamon cider and all the rest taste sparkly, delicious, and there's every type of beer, wine, and all sorts of delightful 🍸cocktails to accompany your entree. The finish with an incredibly scrumptious dessert... we had the apple cheesecake with drizzle and homemade whipped cream. This is our new staple lunch-dinner stop, and there's live entertainment on the new outdoor stage coming very soon. Check the website for the deets. This is a must stop for all, families with...
Read moreThis place was a great lunch spot. I tried it with my dad and we were impressed. Its very clean and spacious, you dont feel claustrophobic. Immaculate vibes.
The food was great too. The Street Tacos and The Burger blew us away. Im not easily impressed, but I have thought about those tacos since I left. I could take down three of them as a main course easily. The sauce on the burger was lovely and the burger itself was constructed well. Very easy to pick up, and the right amount of messy. My dad had the Chicken Philly which was good, but could've used a bit more salt and seasonings. It was impossible to pick up and eat as a sandwich because the bread wasn't toasted enough to hold shape, but it was still very good and fresh, the portion size was generous, and we definitely intend on coming back to try more menu items. Also, shoutout their fries, they are fire.
We sampled the blackberry cider which was very delicious! I had the Nordic Mule and really enjoyed the flavor profiles. It's a very unique combination, very refreshing as well! Overall, we were impressed with this restaurant, especially in our small town where we don't get to see as much...
