The price for the rooms are higher than the Grand Rapids area, and the hotel needs some updating and a really good cleaning. Our room's bathroom was not clean, and the sink area needed attention as well. The drain in both the sink and bathtub did not work - and we did let the front desk know. The staff was very nice, but the drain issue was never looked at while we were there, and nothing was done for us. The water was over our ankles after even a quick shower, which was very gross. The sink also didn't drain. The room itself needed a good deep cleaning. Drapes, and walls had spider webs, and the surfaces in the room were visibly full of dust. We arrived on Wednesday and left on Saturday, and not once did housekeeping come to our room. We had to ask for towels each day, and we would let housekeeping know we were leaving for the day, and when we would return the room had not been cleaned. This happened every day. The pool bottom needs to be cleaned as well. You can see so much sand/dirt on the bottom and feel it when you are walking on it. The staff were really nice, but they didn't follow through when we would ask for something to be cleaned or fixed. We ended up leaving Saturday and going to the Holiday Inn located in Cedar Springs. It was more money but EXCEPTIONAL and VERY VERY clean! I'm sorry AmericInn, we...
Read moreI stayed for one night in June 2023, a Thursday evening. The entrance and lobby were clean. The staff member on duty was helpful and had me checked in quickly. The lobby is pretty cool. It looks rather cozy.
Room 204. The second I opened the door to the room, it smelled like wet carpet, or mildew. It had a humid feel. I walked right back down to the service desk and notified the staff member. He apologized and immediately placed me in a different room, being room 203. 203 appeared to be a free upgrade as it was a jacuzzi suite.
The new room was cool, and I appreciated the upgrade, but the room overall seemed "cheap", cheaply furnished, older, or just out dated. It was clean though.
The bed was comfortable, it was a king bed.
But, my biggest complaint. The light that comes through the top of the curtains in room 203 was crazy bright. There must be flood lights back there that shine right at the room, and it felt like daylight was coming through all night.
Breakfast is provided, they have scrambled eggs, sausage links (not good, at all), a pancake machine, a cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt, etc. It was good enough for a free breakfast.
Overall, it was fine for the night. I was glad they quickly moved my room and even provided a nicer room, but there were still the few issues...
Read moreWe have an event to go to I was given the city of Greenville and the name of your hotel Americinn by Wynham... I googled it got to your site which I thought was your site to book the reservation... Found the room found the price which is $130 which was okay... Proceeded through the booking process... Giving my information and my card information... Went to confirm the reservation and charge my card... It comes up $180 through hotel reservations...Completely misleading me thinking that I'm booking it through your hotel...I contact hotel reservations and tell them I want to cancel the room after I talk to a pleasant young lady named Alex... Hotel reservations say they cannot cancel my hotel reservation non-refundable.... I will never do business nor will I ever encourage anybody to stay at your hotel ever again This is ridiculous I had three emails back and forth to them indicating that I made the mistake and they will not refund my money so I can book through your front desk... go ahead and Google your hotel and it's going to bring you up to a site that looks like your hotel site with phones all around it to contact......
