Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Evansville

I made an online order at 2pm while I was at work to be picked up at 430. It was my daughter's 12 birthday so I wanted to be able to pick it up quickly. I went inside and stood there for 10 min waiting while watching only 2 or 3 employees were working. The other 4 were standing around moving slow meanwhile there is 7 customers inside and a few in drive-thru. I showed the lady my online order because she gave me my strawberry milkshake and said thank you. I had to show her I paid 65 bucks for 2 chicken strip baskets, a burger combo meal, and a 8 inch oreo ice cream cake. She had to find the receipt and get my food which had been sitting there forever. Mind u I placed the order at 2 for pickup at 430 so the way the fries were soggy and chicken was hard my burger was nasty and she had no idea about the ice cream cake. They didn't have an 8 in so she looked in the cooler and found a 10 in that I had to pay the difference on that made Everyone's stomach hurt after eating it so I think that cake was old. I usually have no problem here but today, April 16, just before 5 pm I pulled up to the drive-thru and the guy took four minutes to acknowledge I was there, I ordered, he never said anything for a couple of minutes, then said that if that is all I can pull forward without telling me how much. Extremely rude. The girl who took my card was too busy talking to the other 5 workers who was just standing around talking in the kitchen about what they're doing during the week and next weekend, who said this, and who said that, instead of working. The chicken strips and fries were cold and hard as a rock, the gravy was watered down, and they never gave the toast that goes with it. Which is probably a good thing since everything had to be thrown away. This whole crew needs a manager who'll make them work instead of letting them stand around and pass out food that'll break your teeth and...

I always get the chicken strip basket and a blizzard from this location and the food is always excellent. Ive havent ever received chicken which seemed old, like it had been sitting under a warmer or something - or fries like that either. The Texas toast is always perfectly done and fresh. I ask for an extra cup of gravy and they dont even charge me for that most of the time which I really like. The only reason this location doesnt get 5 stars from me has nothing to do with the people or the food - it's simply the location. The way the place is set up the drive thru is very difficult to navigate. Its 2 VERY tight turns and they're kinda blind and the window is in a spot that just makes the whole thing hard to get thru - especially for larger vehicles like my SUV.
