Denny's — Restaurant in Evansville

If I could give a negative star I would. Not being mean about it but it wasn't worth the money, time. The hostess didn't even sit us, she yelled at an employee who just walked in right behind us to seat us. So she came around us grabbed the menus and had us sit. The waitress came over about 5 minutes later and asked us "what do you want", no hello or anything. We ordered our food, it quickly came to us but at the expense of cold biscuit and gravy, eggs were warm but swam in old butter on the plate,the turkey bacon was so stiff I could have used it to prop a table up. The tea was indeed old, bitter. The chicken was hard as a rock on the outside but seriously undercooked inside, the toast was burnt and well burnt at that. Brought it to the waitress attention she only took the biscuit and gravy to the microwave by their station popped it in a few seconds and returned it to me. We couldn't even hardly get our food down it was so bad, we started to feel sick even before 1/4 done. She didn't ask if we needed refills but did have the time of their lives laughing in the kitchen (yes they were that loud). We hadn't eaten in over a day from traveling and were needing to eat. I should have eaten the grass out front like a cute bunny was while we were not trying to upchuck the food while walking back to the truck.... not worth the money, time and expense of...

I would have given it a ZERO had it been an option. I have been to this location twice in the last 2 weeks. Service both times was beyond TERRIBLE. 1st time was Thursday May 19th waited 20 minutes after we received drinks for waitress to come back to table to take order..she was walking around not really doing much that I could see. Finally another waitres saw I was getting impatient and said she would get our waitress. Last night May 22nd was the Icing on the cake. I will NEVER go back to this Dennys ever again. We got there around 11pm after my grandaughters high school graduation. We had a party of 12. The waitress advised it could take 30-45 minutes to get our food.which was understood. It took 20 minutes of that just to get half the tea drinks order..10 minutes later she she brought the soda drinks. And we placed appetizer orders..at 12:15am we NEVER received the appetizers or did she ever come back to take ANY FOOD ORDERS. one of the people in our party went up and asked when she was going to take FOOD orders. She VERY RUDELY told him I told you it was going to be 45 minutes until you Got food!!! He said we been here an hour and 15 minutes and we HAVEN'T EVEN placed the food order..we all got up and walked out. I saw no one receiving food the entire time...

Only reason I gave 1 star is because i didn't have an option for less then 1. I was in town competing In the demolition derby this past weekend. Dennys fortunately and unfortunately for me was the only place still open when we was done on Friday and Saturday night. Food was great and service was less to be desired for us on Friday night. It took over an hour to receive or food on what seemed to be a not to busy night. But we managed and all was good. Now Saturday night when we returned, was when things really got irritating to me. We waited for ever just to find out if we even had a server let alone get our drinks. Then we placed our orders for food. I ordered a salad to get me started whiles I waited for my food. I never even recieved that salad mind you. Then we got our food, which was clearly sitting up in the serving window for quite sometime because it was cold! My wife finally recieved her meal 20 mins after we recieved ours. We asked to speak to the manager and she came out, we explained our displeasures with her. She in return says she was gonna remove the salad from the bill and kindly offered us a discount. Which she did. A whole $4!!! Which is fine, but they have lost all of our future business when we are visiting...
