Everett Original Italian Pizza — Restaurant in Everett

I love OIP's. I used to live in central PA where every single little town had one. They were great, always well kept, always inviting, and most importantly well staffed. I give the food a five star rating.

The downtown BEDFORD location has a lot of room to grow. I stumbled across this one and went in and ordered 2 pizzas on a Friday night to take home to surprise the family. It was Well over 1 hour to get a pizza. But, I waited as the bread, dough and sauce at any OIP is great.

Now for the room to improve. While waiting the lady up front was clearly stressed out trying to handle the limited wait staff, phones, take walk in orders like mine, seat people, basically run the show herself. I began bussing tables so people could sit down. I really like OIP and Really want to see this one improved, so I helped. Many frustrated people walked out the door while I was waiting. I thought, ok it's a Friday night it can't always be this bad.

I went back with the family on another Friday night. By the time we walked to the end of the counter, where typically you would be greeted and taken to a table or told the estimated wait.....we could plainly see that it wasn't going to happen. There was the same nice overrun lady upfront and only the onewaitress working tables. We weren't greeted and could tell that there were a lot of frustrated people and the same grumbling about not having any help. We decided to walk out and not be a frustrated family.

Love the food, but they really need to be...

Made a call in and pickup order, got there and had to wait a bit. Then my order was all wrong. The owner/manager was the one that took my order and the girl at the counter had to get him. While I was waiting on him to fix my order the cashier was like " yeah he really f'ed up your order" "Wow". Then when he comes to the counter to fix my order, he cuts a large stromboli in half and gives it to me, corrects my sub order and still charged me full price. I wasn't looking to be charged less, but come on now, my order was messed up and I had to wait for it to be fixed then I get a piece of another stromboli, in place of my small one. Like, every time we go there it's just a big disappointment. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Unorganized, unprofessional and now labeled...

Usually love the food from Everett OIP. Can't beat their hot and cold subs and love their pizza. Tonight, I was really in the mood for some good Italian food and I had heard from several people about how wonderful the lasagna was, so I decided to give it a try. Boy, what a disappointment! After being raised on the Jersey shore around lots of authentic Italian food, this was horrible! The sauce was watery and separating, I have absolutely no idea what it was stuffed with, but the grey concoction looked more like canned dog food than meat and ricotta cheese and the only trace of cheese I found was the piece of mozzerella on top. My dogs ended up eating it because I just couldn't. I'd say time to get another cook...
