We visited Cups and cones last night on Father's Day. We arrived at 8:50 pm to an almost full parking lot. We ordered a small water ice, a regular sized mango gelati, and a single scoop of mint chocolate chip on a cake cone. Our total was around $15.00. What Cups and Cones does not tell you at the outside window or inside is that if you use a credit card or any other card there is an additional fee of a fixed percent vs. Cash. The quality of the product is excellent however be prepared to bring cash and about $30 for a family of four. There is plenty of seating however the tables are not wiped down regularly as I noticed sprinkles and dried ice cream on random seats, table tops, and on the ground. I will say they are competitive in price against white dotte and Vincent's ice cream. If I wanted to drive a little further I would have picked Carvel ice cream. I would suggest to Cups and cones to offer a kids size in addition to small to attract families with small kids so the cost can be more friendly on parents budgets for eating out. I hope this review helps you make the right choice of where to get ice cream...
Read moreThe most non-traditional thing we did for our wedding was to serve an ice cream cake instead of a wedding cake. Ice cream cakes are who we are and we wanted our cake to represent us. Good thing for us, it worked out very well. Debi Valenzano was a joy to work with. We came in and sat with her multiple times as she worked tirelessly to give us a delicious cake. We taste tested a couple different flavors. She even whipped up some new flavors for us. Those flavors were rum chata, maple bacon bourbon, til death do us part chocolate, and peanut butter with chocolate swirl. She would excitedly call us and tell us to come in so we can let her know what we think of these new custom flavors. She truly has a passion for her work and coincidentally worked in the wedding cake industry for years. Her experience was invaluable, nudging us towards a marshmallow based icing instead of buttercream. She gave us a wonderful price and we received an excellent value but more importantly created a beautiful and delicious...
Read moreI've been to Cups and Cones two times before today and the service was pretty good. Today, though, was an entirely different story. We walked in, no line, great for us. We're browsing the ice cream select, trying flavors, and this other customer comes up from behind us and completely takes over the lady helping us. So we're waiting for someone to help us and a man comes up and asks if he can help the couple behind us. The couple's says that my group was first and do they should help me. The guy is like they'll be fine and continues to take the couple's order. At this point a line has formed. The next guy that comes, goes straight to the back of line and skips us. AND THEN the original lady that was helping us ignored us and went to the back of line to help those customers. We ended up having to ask the cashier for help. She was extremely nice and helpful. Very...
