Evesham Township Recreational Facility (Blue Barn) — Local services in Evesham Township

The place constantly is either closed or being rented out limiting the courts that are open; if any are open. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had a website or simple social media making announcements when it is closed to the public. I have to make a significant drive to get to this place and have wasted tons of gas from coming to this place just to find it’s closed.

Basketball Wise

Positives -3 Courts so a lot of room -Indoors -Very active especially at night and on the weekends

Negatives -Usually slippery floors from either dust or water -Rims are crooked sometimes -Rims aren’t all equal height -Roof can be an issue...

This place was my life growing up, but it seems in recent years the town has made this place inaccessible for private residents who are not members of a league to use the facility at all. It’s either being used to hold craft shows or when the courts are set up for basketball every court is rented to a league or camp. I get that organized events are inevitable but it’s odd to me that not even one court can be left open for people who just want to come shoot around… it’s a shame seeing a place that holds so many great memories become a shell of what it once was.
