Great atmosphere and Bruce was a great host. The problem we ran into was the steaks. I ordered two rare steaks and they brought out two stakes that were medium done, absolutely no pink whatsoever. We apologized tremendously for making a scene but said we asked for rare, the hostess took it kindly but a few minutes later they brought out the replacements shown in this picture. I felt way too bad to complain again, so we ended up not eating and waiting until we got home to cook them. Definitely a terrible situation, super sad I spent $115 for this experience. But honestly might have been just a bad day for the chef, definitely won’t be back though unfortunately.

Attention to detail! This is a must place to eat. The server knew his stuff and made great recommendations from knowledge of how the food is prepared. He gave special attention to our 91 year old birthday girl. šŸŽ‚

There is a big difference between eating out and dining out. Dining out at the Fair Haven Inn is Pure Perfection. We have dined at the Inn a number of times and when we have a special occasion, only the Inn will suffice. Right from the beginning to be greeted by the owner to leaving the establishment is enjoyable. Even just entering the dining area you view that all the tables are perfectly set, with table cloths , silverware, dishes all in proper positions with proper spacing. Once seated the very respectful and knowledgeable wait staff attends to your every need , question and offering suggestions. Even though we do have our favorite meals, choosing one from the menu can be difficult as they all do read to be so delicious. And our very knowledgeable waiter was able to describe how each will be cooked and with what ingredients. As you can imagine, I could go on and on stating compliments for the Inn. Let me close this review by stating that if you want a special dining out experience , you will enjoy and appreciate your time spent at the Fair Haven Inn. I have dined at many eateries in our country and numerous foreign countries. But I can not name one better than the Fair Haven inn. People, the atmosphere, staffing , meals / food are all 5 stars āļø! Treat yourself and your loved ones to a wonderful dinner at the Inn. YOU will not be...

Tonight I went to the Fair Haven Inn Restaurant in Fair Haven, Vermont. My experience was quite extraordinary. My daughter and I sat down to eat and we ordered the calamari as a appetizer, which was sauteed with perfection and not over cooked at all or rubbery. Our main dishes were Chicken Florentine and Crab Meat Baked Stuffed Sole. The chicken was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the sole was delicious as well. We were very surprised at the quality of our food because we got there 1/2 hour before the restaurant closed and we were expecting a quick overdone meal, but to our surprise every detail of our experience was met with attention to detail not only with our wonderful knowledgeable waitress but we also got the opportunity to meet and thank our extraordinary chefs Bobby and Idris! They all took the time and patience to make our experience memorable. If you are ever in the area stop by and ask for these young boys because they will make you a meal you will never forget and keep you coming back. I apologize for not asking our waitress her name, but she was super fantastic and exceeded our expectations as well!!! P.S. To the owner of Fair Haven Inn, I commend you for the discipline and great service of your wait staff and the...

We went here for dinner at the recommendation of the neighbor of our Airbnb house. I have mixed feelings on the dinner but they lean to the negative. The appetizers were fine flavor wise but the spanakopita was cold in the center and one of the escargots had a bit shell in it. The waitress kept suggesting my mother go for a different entree that happened to be quite more expensive. Either way the entrees were flavorless . The branzino was cooked to perfection but was painfully under seasoned and lacked spices. The red wine reduction in ver the veal was closer to water than sauce. The rice on the side was also cold like the spanakopita. The roasted potatoes were really good compared to the rest of the dish. They had a beautiful desert cart with a delicious chocolate mousse. The restaurant had only three other tables seated throughout our dinner and one of them seemed to know the owner. The interior was beautifully designed with a burning fire place. I can only guess the Inn has taken a turn for the worse in the past few years because they seemed to have a small staff compared to the size establishment. I would not go again and for the price the food was...
