We have been here previously for breakfast (twice in summer 2020) when staying with friends in the area and truly enjoyed this place! Great food, plenty of it, and reasonable service. Plus, sitting outside by the course is beautiful!
We went back this morning while visiting for breakfast, and wow, has this place ever gone downhill. The breakfast portions were barely enough for a child, the menu has slimmed down, and the service was subpar at best. There were no knives clean, as the waitress informed us, and apparently they didn't bother to clean any the whole time we were there as we never got any. Sausage patties were ordered, they brought sausage links. Only one fruit cup when two meals came with fruit cups. Someone ordered sourdough toast and when the toast was dropped off at the table, the waiter said "We are out of sourdough, so I hope Texas Toast works". No butter or jelly for toast. The omelet is barely one egg- these used to be huge and so tasty! Not anymore. One piece of bread cut in half for toast instead of two. Plus, we waited ~50 minutes after ordering breakfast items for food when the restaurant was barely half full, and everyone there already had their food. When the food came out, it was cold and stale and had been sitting forever. It's absolutely not worth the price or the headache.
Our friends have complained that dinner rolls are no longer included in dinner meals for free ($2 now) and some of the meals have been divided up so you have to order salads a la carte as well. Desserts have increased in price and decreased in portions.
This is an honest review because we were here just a year ago, two separate months, and absolutely loved our experience! I had so looked forward to going back and left hungry today, super disappointed in everything that happened. Nothing about the experience was good except for the weather and the view- the only two things the restaurant didn't control. My friends who live here won't be going back, and...
Read moreWe are African American and were in the area for a mini vacation to experience Fairfield Glade's golf courses and hiking trails. While there, we only saw 1 other person of color in that whole community. We had an 11:30 tee time Sunday morning (May 19th) and decided to have breakfast prior at the Stonehenge Grille. We arrived appropriately dressed in golf attire to the hostess stand. The atmosphere was energetic and the air full of conversation and laughter, as the space was almost full. When we entered the dining room, it quieted quickly... eyes on us. It made us a bit uncomfortable but we shrugged it off and requested a table outside. No good morning greeting or smile from the hostess, only a mere "Just two? Will you need coffee mugs?" She sat us out on the patio which was beautiful overlooking the putting practice green. We were there about 5 minutes when a second couple was escorted to another patio table. Literally, before they sat down, their waiter was there to get coffee and water orders and wipe their seats for them that were still moist from the morning dew. Their waiter was very friendly to them. Laughing. Asking about how their morning was going so far. Long story short... the other couple had coffee, water and food and we had yet to be greeted by any server. We returned our menus to the hostess who didn't say a word as we approached. I asked "What was the point in giving us menus if you had no intentions of serving us?" A young man dressed as if he may have been a manager asked if we were leaving and if anyone had been over to serve us. We replied yes, and no. With that, we left. From conversations with a couple of locals detailing our experience, they admitted that this white community doesn't like...
Read moreSorry, but I do not recommend this place at all. The food is very bland. And they have the audacity to be extremely high with the food like it's finger lickin delicious. Me and my family were visiting crossville from Memphis. And everyone knows Memphis is known for having flavorful food. I come from a culture of seasoned food. So, im not used to bland food at all. We ordered takeout with the chicken wings. And taste like they just put the wings straight in frying oil after rinsing it with water. The only good thing about the wings was the sweet chili sauce. The Buffalo wings we had was very dry. It tasted like they barely put any Buffalo sauce on it. The little Buffalo sauce that they did have on there also tasted very weak and bland. And then we ordered roast beef subs. The roast beef was very bland too. The only good thing about the roast beef was that it was tender. But other than that, the sub bread was burnt and the roast beef tasted super bland. It tasted like I was eating a brick with tender bland meat .😩 Whoever cooking, do not know how to cook. Why open a restaurant with bland food with high prices! I can go to so many restaurants in Memphis with highly seasoned and flavorful food for half the price. I'm sorry but I do not recommend at all. I don't know if its city thing or just a restaurant thing. But, the food here is very bland! The lady taking orders seemed...
