Mr Taco Taqueria — Restaurant in Fairfield

Just had another amazing meal at Mr. Taco Taqueria in Fairfield, TX!! I seriously can’t hype this place up enough. It’s one of those spots you try once and then crave nonstop.

I always get the chicken torta- it’s my go-to, no question. The bread is perfectly toasted, soft on the inside with that slight crunch on the outside. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, and stacked with fresh toppings- avocado, lettuce, tomato, a swipe of mayo, and just the right amount of heat from their salsa. It’s the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it. Every single time, it hits.

I also grabbed a few street tacos (al pastor and fajita), and they were absolutely fire. The meat was tender and smoky, tucked into warm, soft tortillas, and topped with cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime that just brought it all to life. Their green salsa? A must. It’s spicy, tangy, and adds the perfect punch.

And don’t even get me started on the aguas frescas- they’re all natural and freshly made every single morning. I’ve tried almost all of them: mango, lemon, piña, watermelon, coconut, cantaloupe, tamarindo, lemon cucumber… and they’re all straight-up refreshing and packed with real fruit flavor. You can taste the difference no lie. No powders just fresh, cold, fruity goodness in every sip😂😂

The atmosphere inside is just super warm and welcoming, and Coral, the owner, is the absolute best!! She’s always warm, friendly, and you can tell she really cares about what she’s serving. That energy shows in every plate!! I promise!!

If you’re anywhere near Fairfield, TX- seriously, don’t skip this place! Mr. Taco is one of those rare finds that actually delivers...

My son ordered the pastor super burrito. Combined with the cream green sauce he said it was one of the best tasting burritos he has ever had. Service was a bit slow, had to ask for refills even after both of us holding up empty glasses in the air for 5 minutes and we did find a small roach crawling on the seat next to us but that's expected considering the location of this place. Nothing we even complained about to staff but they did pick up the napkins with the dying critter still squirming and we joked about the one who got away lol. Wanted to enjoy the outdoor patio but they said it was new and off limits until the following night for whatever reason. Would have had a more relaxing dinner out there with a cold michelada in hand in which they do serve! Mabey next trip we can have that...

Came here two days in a row. First day, I had the mariachi tacos, there shrimp cocktail, and my girlfriend had the machete. Everything was fresh, and I think the tacos i had were the best I've ever had. Went in today, ordered the quesabirrias, chips with cheese, and my girlfriend got the machete again.
