Whataburger — Restaurant in Fairfield

Stopped by again last night during the Winter Storm warning in the DFW Metroplex. I really wanted to try Cole's BBQ across the street, but they closed promptly at 7pm. Although I did enjoy my Pattimelt combo meal, I have to say that 15 bucks for a burger, fries & drink (yes they supersized me without asking) is just too much imo. I mean c'mon, it is a couple of burger patties, fried frozen fries, and a self serve drink dispenser. SMH; society is way over-paying what should just be a manager and a few entry level employees learning dependability, responsibility, and a few easy tasks. Working the fry station or the grill was NEVER intended to be a (living) wage to raise a family of 2.7 kids, a house, and a spouse....

I watched as an employee loudly protested to having to make 2 apple pies to complete an order, complaining that with the previous order that makes 4 apple pies. Another employee asked what was the problem, how many pies were there and the complaining employee stated there were some ready. Not sure what the issue was but it made for a very uncomfortable transaction for all who observed. If you are employed to serve food why are you loudly complaining about doing just that, for paying customers? The customer seemed very confused and walked out as soon as they were handed the pies to complete...

They remade my entire order that was all screwy. Remake was good.

I asked for extra onions and no pickles on two burgers and got no onions and extra pickles. lol

They also gave me, a bbq chicken melt instead of a jalapeno burger.

Tried to suggest remaking one burger that was missing instead of tossing my entire order and remaking it.

Which I would have finished, even wrong, since I can take pickles off and even eat the bbq one, since it's actually good, just not what I ordered.

I won't complain again or I'll only ask for a credit.
