The Tasty Yolk (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Fairfield

The tasty yolk lives up to it's namesake! Very happy with the service and the quality of my morning breakfast sandwich here. I've been patiently waiting to try what they have to offer. Next time I look forward to trying the chorizo or the steak sandwich, for sure. At any rate, the prices are from $5 to $8. I got the Pig which is a bacon, egg, and cheese ($5). I was offered their green sauce and hot sauce on the side - they also sell those by the jar at $7. I usually go with mayochup on my bacon, egg, and cheeses but the green sauce here gave the sandwich a nice kick. Also, they came with the crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, and the crazy soft bun action! Definitely check them out.

Just tried the Fatone with spicy aeoli. . . Banging! Fresh. The grilled smash potato had other people wanting my food - period.

The Slenderizer was also fresh, got, and delicious. Maybe I'll ask for some green sauce on the side with it next time.

Tried the Kimchi Kicker Reloaded today. . . BANGER! Game Changer as your boy Joop would say. That sweetness mixed with the crunch of the kimchi and crispy bacon - say less. Go get you one before they swap it out for the next special....

So I love the storefront and I have been patronizing this place since before they had more than one and it was just the one trailer in front of the coffee. I'm not sure what happened with this trailer but it was a truly negative experience.

I got there there was literally nobody else they're ordered my food they said it was going to be a 20-minute wait. Then somebody that apparently was a regular showed up 5 seconds after I did and they made him his breakfast in like 5 minutes. Okay so I'm not a regular at this location that means that you put me on the pay no mind list, NO.

The food that I got was honestly not up to the standard that I expect from this group. I don't know how they're organized whether it's a franchise or it's just people that work for them at the different locations but someone really needs to get their arms around what's going on at this one because it is nowhere near the quality of any of the other locations.

Honestly making me doubt whether or not I will go back to any of them after that type...

Went to the food truck this morning and placed two orders — a bacon egg & cheese, and a Tasty. I waited a few minutes — no problem. The girl bagging up the orders told me the Tasty will be worked on, “they just received a big order” a Caucasian woman after me and placed her order and got her order within 5 minutes. The Caucasian woman was even confused she asked the girl “are you sure this isn’t someone else’s order” because she clearly saw that I was waiting before her. After about 15-20 min, the girl noticed I was confused and said “we just got a big order so it’s going to take a while, you just have to wait” I asked her why the lady after me got her order before mine she said “she just gave her one that was just made /ready” and said “sorry” and finally a few minutes after that I received the tasty — she offered me a drink once she noticed I was upset and I declined. I’m very disappointed with the type of service I received...
