Title: A Delectable Feast with Breathtaking Views at Sunset Pointe

Rating: 5/5 Stars

If I could encapsulate paradise in a dining experience, it would undoubtedly be at Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina. This spectacular location gifts its patrons with sublime food, top-notch service, and a view that's simply out of this world.

From the moment we arrived, the aroma of delicious food wafted in the air, whetting our appetites. We decided to sample the shrimp dishes and, believe me when I say, they were nothing short of culinary masterpieces. The care and passion that went into the sauce preparation were palpable with every bite. It was a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on our taste buds, compelling us to savor each mouthful.

The cocktails were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. Each was exquisitely mixed, striking just the right balance of flavors to refresh and delight without overpowering the main courses.

The service was exemplary – swift, attentive, and extremely courteous. It was clear that Sunset Pointe prioritizes customer satisfaction and goes the extra mile to ensure a delightful dining experience.

As enchanting as the food and service were, the crowning glory of Sunset Pointe undoubtedly is the magnificent ocean sunset view. As we savored our meal, we were privileged to feast our eyes on a kaleidoscope of colors melting into the ocean horizon. It was a sublime spectacle that made our dining experience even more unforgettable.

The only minor discomfort was the humidity, but in fairness, this is beyond the control of the restaurant. To their credit, they've made every effort to mitigate this with shade and misters to keep their outdoor patrons cool, showing their attention to detail and thoughtfulness for guest comfort.

In summary, dining at Sunset Pointe was an unparalleled experience. The symphony of flavors in their food, the outstanding service, and the breathtaking view create a magical atmosphere that draws you in and leaves you longing to return. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina is an...

Feeling the need for seafood while down again in business, so popped in this place.

Don't expect traditional southern sweet tea when you order, but they do offer a peach mango tea that is pretty refreshing.

On to the food. I ordered the southern fried fish and chips. As you can see from the picture, it was a very small portion for a big guy.

The breading was very crisp and held up to the malt vinegar, but it lacked flavor and seasoning. Nothing a little salt didn't take care of, however.

The entree comes with sweet potato house chips and a malt vinegar aioli, but the aioli again was a little bland. Instead of the sweet potato chips I opted for french fries. They were shoestring french fries, and not to bad, but not worth going on about.

I think they're roasted slaw was the star of the meal. It was very refreshing with roasted cabbage, yellow and red bell pepper a hint of cilantro in a nice vinaigrette.

I ordered their bread pudding for dessert, which had a berry compote and fresh whipped cream with a cup of coffee. They used coffee mate not fresh creamer or half and half. Not that's a bad thing.

The bread putting itself was very creamy in the center while having a very crisp outer shell. I like the way that it came out as a miniature loaf. The fresh berries and whipped cream really made this dish.

They have an inside seating area and an outside seating area near the marina, and although they have a few fans if it's a hot day sit inside.

They have plenty of parking and they do have ADA ramps.

Service was decent. Could have been a little better. Overall the restaurant was clean, however I did have this one fly that just would not leave me alone lol

Not impressed. Given the location near the bay and the menu prices, I expected it to be a step up from a traditional bar restaurant. The atmosphere was clean and well decorated, but extremely bright for an evening meal and felt like a local pub, lackluster - not a quality Marina on the bay. We were seated right away, but not greeted at our table for about 10 minutes. It wasn’t that busy, but server apologized and was very nice. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and the sauce was good, but the crab inside the cake was stringy and traditional, the meat was almost non-existent. It would have been nice to have actual lump crab meat or actually taste like crab. The “BBQ Shrimp” was actually a bowl of gumbo type soup in a bowl, so I was surprised and disappointed because it wasn’t what I was expecting. The server was very kind and noticed I barely touched my soup, so she offered to speak to the manager... but came back to inform me nothing would be done because I had eaten the shrimp out of it. Well, I never complained to begin with but what else was I supposed to do? Grilled Shrimp is what I thought I ordered and the server hadn’t been back in a while. It would have been nice if the manager would have at least come out to talk to me. My husband was not impressed with the burger either, and thought the fries were too thin and over cooked. We will probably not go...

First of all, my server (John) was positive, kind and engaging. Then there’s the food. The bouillabaisse was superb: savory without being too salty and fishy. The shrimp and chunks of fish were perfectly cooked. The fennel was not overpowering. I wanted to pick up my bowl to drink the rest of it when I neared the end. I also ordered a garden rose cocktail: vodka, cranberry, lemon and rosemary. Delicious, not too sweet. The house salad with orange vinaigrette was a good size and had no onions, just the way I like it. It arrived with the dressing on the side. Finally, the most incredible thing I ate (ok, maybe the bouillabaisse equals it in awesomeness): the bread pudding. OMG! So yummy. Just warm and sweet. No icky raisins or cinnamon. It was topped with raspberry coulee, with just a touch of sour to balance out the sweet bread pudding. If I had to ask God to make me a bread pudding, this is how it would be. It came with whipped cream on the side. Finally, the ambience. I sat outside, and the lowering sun made a beeline for my eyes. I wore sunglasses. At one point, the manager came out to ring a cowbell (more!) and announced that the tradition was for all of us to toast the sunset. After dinner, I snapped a shot of the sunset among the sailboats. Very pretty.
