I often takes my dogs here in the evenings during the week and weekend mornings. Several Fairhope residents have worked hard to provide beautiful landscaping and comfortable seating areas, so the dog park is more than just a fenced-in space. The park is safe and secure with separate areas for large and small dogs. Both areas have open spaces as well as wooded areas for chasing birds and squirrels. There are plenty of bags and trash cans for picking up and disposing of the dogs' waste, but some patrons neglect to do this. There are also little league fields here, so parking can be scarce some evenings and weekends. The only negative about the park is the lack of sufficient paved parking. Read moreBetween the interstate and the outer skirts of Fairhope, this is by far the nicest and best dog park we've found. They have water bowls and a hose so you don't have to worry about that! The entire park, which is a pretty decent size, is fenced in. There are two gates when you first walk in, we liked it for the fact that our dog could kind of get aquatinted with the other dogs before walking in. I'm only a beginner skater and yet I found plenty of opportunities to challenge myself and also enough open areas to just push around for a bit. The one mini-ramp was a fun way to get acclimated to skating transition. I made it halfway up without killing myself after many attempts and then I didn't press my luck any further.
