I love Wawa. Never miss an opportunity to visit Coffee-topia! Except maybe here.
Seriously, almost gave it three stars. Why? First, out of hazelnut coffee. I just like a hit in my cup (quarter inch) and then the rest regular. Out, however. "Tell us if we're out of your favorite" or whatever, so I mention it and an met with "oh well, sorry".
Annoying, but I move on to regular. Empty! Mention it to staff and they lift the Columbian to tell me it's half full. "Yeah but I'd like regular" met with an eye roll. He finally turned around and pushed the brew button.
I come back a few minutes later and fill up. Then go for a lid. Now every Wawa I've ever been to had both flip back and dome lids. Dome lids evidently not an option here. And the paper cup tastes strangely flowery.
Hey Wawa corporate - for the love of coffee, take a page out of Sheetz's book and offer styrofoam cups. Test both and see what your customers prefer.
Kept an extra star because they didn't charge for ice....
Read moreSo, keep in mind that I'm 60 yrs old and it's very obvious. Graying hair, wrinkles etc. Been living in Fairhope most of my life. Out of coffee at the house so I figure it's a great time to check out the brand new WAWA! I walk in, and The Macerena is playing on the sound system. I decided to proceed anyway. So I grab a coffee, a Coke and head to the counter. Back story.. my driver license expired and I have a temporary till they mail a new one. So I get to the counter and order smokes. She wants to see my license for the smokes. I hand it to her and she scans it into a computer and says, Sir I can't sell you the smokes, your license is expired. Then hesitates to let go wheen handing it back. I'm laughing (my obvious age) and so are most of the customers in line! "But I can sell you everything else" I say, "No, you can't." Funniest thing that's happened to me in a long time.
Will never visit your...
Read moreBeing that this is a new gas station I’m thinking it would be worth the drive from Mobile, but it’s honestly NOT all that maybe bc I’m a vegetarian and NOT all places offer my type of menu and that’s why the food star was a 1 😭. This is really a place for beach goers but NOT too many bc the building is NOT that big, and the food portion is in the front with no sense of directions (yes they have signs order here and pay here, but you don’t know who ordered or who’s standing waiting for their food) and it’s just way too much especially for a person that have anxiety. Paper menus would be nice this way your customers can know what you have to cut down on deciding what you want. So again if you’re in the area or coming from the beach it’s cool but just going to see what the hype is NOT worth it to me, you can see below what I end of...
