You Need To Know! Had no wait getting into the restaurant. Ordered potato pancakes, pizza, filet sandwich & a berry almond chicken salad . The pancakes were an appetizer but not worth 12 bucks for 5 mini cakes. The pizza was fresh dough but yet bland. The chicken salad was large but yet nothing special as well. The filet sandwich was juicy & excellent. Chopped filet with bacon, provolone, seasoned arugula & garlic aioli. This sandwich was a sure winner! Now You Know!

The young servers were excellent, and the restaurant was very clean. However, I was disappointed with the food. The ribs and brisket were overcooked, dry, and should not have been served that way. The soup was acceptable, but overall, the food quality needs improvement.”

Wow! I wish I'd visited Cavanaugh's long before this. Quaint hometown Pub environment with excellent service and varied cuisine to suit each pallet. Just the right selection, and I'll definitely be visiting again.

I'm writing this an honestly as possible as I'm sure no business wants a 1-star review. Boyfriend and I sat outside and were quickly impressed by the nice outdoor bar/seating area they recently completed. We were initially sat at a sunny table by the owner. A few moments later he offered us a shaded spot which we accepted. Ordered our food at 5:55/6:00pm.

For the first 20 minutes, my boyfriend was offered the chance for another drink (both drinks improperly made despite the bartenders best efforts). Aside from that one drink, no staff checked in on us for 45 minutes. Finally at 6:50pm I inquired about our order. Definite confusion by the staff, perhaps triggered by the owner suggesting we move tables shortly after getting there. I am pretty confident that if I had not asked about our food, we easily would have sat there for another 30 minutes. When the food did arrive, no staff apologized for the wait. I'm not even sure staff recognized how long we had been sitting there. Our order of mozzarella tomato Napoleon was sliced to the height of a credit card. No staff seemed to question it, so we went on assuming the servings were typically presented this way. Both orders of wings were uneventful.

It wasn't until we were ready to leave that we saw two people at the table next to us get the mozzarella tomato Napoleon, which looked completely different than our order (aka, it looked like a sane tomato and cheese portion). Again, I feel if we did not question our serving, it would have gone unnoticed and we would have been charged. The waitress even stated that she was confused by what we were served ---- perhaps she's a nice person, but you would think she would stop to ask the buser why it looked so different. It's not good business to make comments indicating you knew food came out incorrectly, yet you didn't say anything, and planned to charge us.

The outdoor seating area has strong potential, but there has to be some level of management to keep the multiple people working there on the same page. I would also encourage the owner to be mindful of what he's saying to the bartender with patrons within earshot. Not the greatest impression when you ask if soda is coming out flat, the bartender indicates it looks weak, and then you go and serve the drink to a...

The food is great, but the multiple experiences with bad service will be why we won’t return for awhile. After having a server walk by us multiple time with no acknowledgment, the bartender saw us and got our drinks. 15 minutes later, I had to get up to have the server come take our order. She did that and got me another drink, but that was the last time we saw her until it was time for our check ( which took another 10-15 minutes to get). The place wasn’t full, and as someone who used to be in the service industry, I would consider it a manageable crowd, yet they didn’t come to ask how anything was, get us drink refills, etc.

I give a ton of credit to the hostesses who were very visible and running like crazy. They brought out all our food, got my salad dressing, and cleaned some of our table. The hostesses and servers should switch roles, as they were doing most of the work, but probably getting a minimal portion of the tips.

This was just one of the bad experiences we had here. Last summers experience was worse, but I won’t even get into that! The outdoor area is great, food is very good, but the poor service really brings it down. So disappointing! I’d highly recommend the owner hire someone to come in to fix the issues and properly...

Went on a weekend evening and sat outside. Made reservations for inside and was told we couldn’t reserve an outside table, but when we asked to sit outside the table next to us had a ‘reserved’ sign on it, so that was strange. The outside area has a really nice atmosphere. Ordered my kids chicken fingers meal with our drinks so he could get started. When it came out, the fries were cold. Appetizers took 40 min-we got mozz sticks and French onion soup. Did not even eat the French onion soup, the taste was odd. For entrees we got scallops and fettuccine Alfredo. My husband said the Alfredo was good. Scallops were good but not anything special, sort of bland. Asparagus was good. I never even got my salad that went with my dinner. Had to hunt someone down to pay the check. It took two hours for 3 of us to get our dinners, eat, and get out of there-way too long. When we left, there was a guy there picking up a pizza he ordered-he had been waiting for at least a half hour and was still waiting when we walked out. I’ve heard good things about this place and it’s really nice outside so I would give it another shot with hopefully a...
