Been here a few times, always a good experience until today. Ordered the 24oz porterhouse (medium rare) when it arrived I cut into the filet portion first.. it was well done the rest was medium, Iasked the waitress if I ordered medium rare just to be sure she heard me, she said yes, she apologized (not her Fault), I am the 1st one to send something back that hasnt been cooked the way I ordered it but this time I felt bad wasting such a big piece of meat as I knew they would have to throw it away if I sent it back..I said I couldnt eat the filet section(the best part) because it was well done but I would deal with the rest even though medium is still too cooked for me thinking that "Joe" (not sure if he is tge owner or manager)would appreciate me not demanding a total new steak and give us a fair discount for the over priced $52.00 piece of shoe leather. BTW, Joe never came to the table to check the steak or apologize for it being over cooked. When we recieved the check..not 1 cent was taken off! We called the waitress over and I said if I would of known he wasnt going to do anything including not not even bothering to come talk to us I would of sent it back from the start. The waitress was kind enough to say she would talk to him again, after a bit of time she returned with the check and Joe took a lousy $10.00 off...he has shown me he could care less about customer satisfaction. If you are looking for an amazing meal at a resonable cost where the owners go out of their way to make sure their guests are satisfied, go to Calaos.. it's our usual "go to" when we want to take out of town friends or family out for a nice dinner when they...
Read moreI don't understand how the previous reviewers could get this so wrong. Upon entrance and being seated, the staff promptly forgot about us and served people who came in after we did. Not the waitress's fault (maybe) and she apologized profusely. We were seated at a small table near the huge bar, and after about 5 minutes as people began to enter, my wife and I could not hear each other because of the racket. We had to practically shout across the table. I was looking forward to some kind of seafood dinner, but believe it or not, other than a calamari appetizer, a salad with salmon, and a linguine with clam sauce, there were no seafood dishes. Can you imagine an Italian restaurant without seafood entrees? No shrimp on the menu, no mussels, no scallops. That should have been my first tip-off that something was wrong. OK, so it's mostly a meat house. We began with the fried calamari, to which they added pieces of hot peppers. Mercifully, the calamari was not overcooked, but the peppers detracted from the taste. We then ordered two spaghetti dishes, one with veal and other meats, and one mostly with stuff like pancetta, ham, etc. in a "creamy tomato sauce." They were beyond disgusting. The "sauce" was some strange, heavy concoction of cheese and slimy stuff with a little bit of tomato, and the rest was chopped, salty meat. The "veal" was a couple pieces of dry, tasteless strips. We practically gagged on this junk, asked for the check and left. With a $36 bottle of chianti that would have cost $12 at the local liquor store and a tip, the bill came to $110. Stay away...

The atmosphere of this place is top notch. While the plating is meh and the cutlery is meh, the actual layout and the decor is very clean and elegant. But that really is just the aesthetic and not why you come here.
Table of two and we ordered the Mozzarella Marinara. This is absolutely out of this world. Their sauce is amazing and everything about this place is mind blowing. For $12, you're getting what you paid for.
My wife ordered the Pasta Alexa. The roasted red peppers where the sauce very fresh, the mushrooms were phenomenal and all she talked about. She did believe it was a bit much on the sauce, way too saucy and for 23.95 it should!! come with a protein. Which she added the fantastic meatballs, 3 for 8.95.
I ordered the 18oz Bone-In Ribeye. The side was their basil garlic mashed potatoes and if you like basil, they are amazing! My first impression of the steak was it had a ton of fat. 6 oz was bone, 4oz was just fat. Leaving 8oz of actual meat. BUT!! Best steak this area has to offer. I'm done. Hands down amazing! For $42, sign me up next week.
Finally the desert. A steep cost of 14.95 for a slice of chocolate layer cake. . We ordered it to go as we were full, but wanted to take a quick bite before we left. It was gone in just a few moments. 100% is a must get!
10/10 this is one of my...
