I ordered a Greek salad. I've never had a Greek salad with lots of cabbage and lots of carrots over a spring mix of greens at a pizza shop. It also has cucumber tomatoes olives and feta cheese. It was not skimpy in size but not what I was expecting. The bread was a triangle of a hard bread not the normal flat pocket bread I've come to know in Fall River. We got there late so couldn't eat there so we took our order to go. When I got home and opened my Greek salad I was very disappointed at what I received. I'm only writing this review to alert those who expect the normal Greek salad that The city normally can be found in most pizza shops. I do understand not all shops share the same ideas of a Greek salad but honestly I've never ever had so many shredded carrots and cabbage for a meal ever. I was so upset at the spring mix instead of iceberg lettuce that is also the normal for this area. I had been working all day in my yard I was hungry and heard such good reviews about this spot that today we took the opportunity to visit based on reviews. I will forever from here on in ask what's in the Greek salad upon entering a new to me business. The service was great John the guy who made the pizza was very nice and spent some time chatting with us making us feel welcomed in this spot. We drove from the east end to the north end based on reviews from Facebook. Sadly this salad didn't resemble anything I've ever had. I could not eat it and felt very upset as the price was more than other places which is okay if it's what you were expecting. So if Greek salad with carrots and cabbage in a bed of spring mix with cucumber tomatoes and a small triangle hard roll works for your palate then this is your go to place. I don't like making reviews like this but because I went to this place based on reviews I felt I needed to share my perspective. Not everyone will feel disappointed like I am. This review makes me sad just as much as opening a salad after a hard day's work and not being able to enjoy it. Again I'll ask more questions if I go to a pizza shop based on this experience. We also ordered a Pizza....
Read moreI was really excited to try Fiorentina Italian Kitchen after hearing some good things. We placed an order for 5 people and were told it would take about an hour, which was totally fine. But at the 1.5-hour mark, we hadn’t heard anything, so I gave them a call just to check. That’s when they told me their computer had gone down and they weren’t able to get addresses, but the driver was “just heading out the door.” I wanted to believe that was true, but I kept thinking — wouldn’t it have been nice if someone had called to let me know about the delay? Maybe that’s asking too much, but it would have gone a long way toward keeping me in the loop.
Another 30-40 minutes later (now over 2 hours since ordering), the food finally arrived. The driver was really nice, but he told me something completely different. He said that one of the drivers didn’t want to deal with all the deliveries and just left, so he was the only one left and still had 8 more orders to do after mine. Honestly, I felt bad for the guy, but by then, the food was ice cold.
And here’s where things got… kind of funny. I was looking forward to my Alfredo steak pizza, but it wasn’t even cut! I tried to make a joke of it and take a big bite like one giant slice, but the pizza was so cold and hard that all the toppings slid off in one solid disk. I was literally left holding just a plain piece of bread with a “topping disk” dangling from my mouth. Safe to say, I didn’t end up eating it.
Now, on to the positives:
The chicken parm sandwich looked amazing and actually tasted pretty good.
My goddaughter loved her burger, which is always a win.
The onion rings were really good.
My wife enjoyed her spaghetti, so at least some of the food hit the mark.
I’m giving 3 stars because despite the chaos and the cold food, some of the dishes were still good. But the delay, lack of communication, and the pizza fiasco definitely took away from what could have been a great experience. I’m hoping this was just a bad night, and I might give them another shot… but maybe for dine-in...
Read moreI went today and got a large cheese pizza ( which was great) an order of fries and a garden salad. The woman who took my order was very nice and friendly. I placed a phone order so when I arrived to pick it up the fries weren’t done yet. As I was waiting for my fries to finish I witnessed the cook ( a woman ) I knew it wasn’t the owner as I follow the business on FB wipe her forehead which was full of sweat and then rub off her hands on her apron. After that she did wash some pans, I never saw this woman wash her hands. What really did it for me was when she took the fries from the stove she licked her complete hand like from the bottom to the top of her hand. I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. I did explain to the owner what I saw and she was taken back herself from what I told her. I had waited a while for the fries my kids were in the car waiting so I just couldn’t sit there and wait for another batch of fries to be made. I took the fries but I just couldn’t bring myself to keep them. I did call the owner back and asked if she would be able to give me a new order of fries and place them in the bag herself. Which she did. Later I was just so upset at myself for even taking the fries I should have just requested a refund. The cooks actions wasn’t the owners fault by any means she was very nice but I just was very disturbed by the cook. she didn’t think twice about how she was handling the food which was extremely disturbing. It honestly turned me off. Hopefully this is something that’s addressed so any future customers do not have to deal with a...
