North Park Skatepark — Attraction in Fall River

North Park , as a whole , rejuvenation, would be a project worthy of pursuit. There are numerous issues throughout. Several plants in the overgrown areas are poisonous. There is a substantial amount of dead wood in multiple places. It is maintained for the most part. Several other things outside of regular mowing are very concerning. The trash pickup has been excellent Sometimes parks are last on the list of things to make better. Honestly I think a good undercut and dead wood removal would make a huge difference. I also think if some strategic planting was done , there would be less maintenance. Every park in Fall River needs more bloom . The skate park could be returned to soil and cleared all the way to the old steps. Those massive old trees need that land as much as we do but more. Amazing how one in particular has responded to the incline on which it is planted. The distance between it and the skate park is not considered.. the tree requires more area than it has currently. It has adapted with a massive limb opposite to counteract its own demise. Speaking for the next big project to include assessment for continuing the longevity of the trees . Needs millions dumped into it. Make it outstanding. Make it a place talked about for excellence in beauty. Butterfly bush and so many blooming plants. North Park is a city treasure . Think big , like botanical gardens , add water features. Redesign the entire park layout and turn it into something really magical....

So as a skatepark... kinda trash. Covered in sand for some reason, has no flow to it, and there's cracks and odd things like small tree stumps protruding thru... as a RC car bash spot... well still kinda trash but not terrible. Good vantage point from the drop in and the tabletop is entertaining. Half of the area is just open space - good for short drags and whatever. Can't recommend anyone skate there, but if you're looking to bash its maybe worth...

Skate park is very run down and potentially dangerous. There is sand everywhere and glass shards. There's also lots of room but not as much ramps and rails as I would like. Cracks are very prevalent too and if you hit one of these it'll send you flying... Into said glass shards while also getting sand in your eyes...
