Jan's Restaurant — Restaurant in Fallston

Review this establishment two months ago and was bullied into removing the review. Here is my experience. I stand firm on a solid one star. When there was an issue on the amount, I was charged which differed from the amount on the receipt. I was confronted with three employees for resolution in which was intimidating. At first they told me they could not provide me receipt, When I asked for the receipt in the register from the credit card, one was then provided. This was a red flag, I opted to speak with management the following day. As disappointing as that conversation was, Amanda was very rude, stating I’ll give you your 20 bucks back and don’t ever come back. Wasn’t looking for a refund and certainly wasn’t trying to scam. Anyone was inquiring about the 20% that was added without consent. The excessive defense and rudeness is what is the determining factor to never return to that establishment again. A friend recommended this place for breakfast so we tried on a Saturday morning around 25 minutes before their breakfast cut off. Everything we tried to order they were out of so we settled for eggs and hash browns. After 20 minutes of waiting and watching a line full of others get their food and walkout, my husband decided to see how much longer the wait would be. The staff was very rude and so he asked for money back at which time he was told he would have to pay for our drinks because we had drank them. Well, yeah, after waiting 20 minutes for simple food, we were thirsty. He was told that there was one grill for all the orders. Maybe a different system should be improvised for ordering. Seems to me if we took our time to drive to the restaurant and come in to eat that it would take precedent over an order that someone called in to come pick up. Will miss their food. I always loved going to Jans . But due to circumstances going on I won’t be back. This girl works their that use to date my daughters boyfriend and she completely can not stand us. I don’t even know her personally. We went in there and I ate and got really sick. She was there and we could tell they were all talking about us. She’s done told all these people working there all these lies. I called in a order under a different name and went in to pick it up and she was mad and was throwing my food around. So I thought I would try it again the other day and they took my order, I watched them put my chicken in the box, no one spoke except for a new girl. It’s very sad that this is happening.
