I, went to visit my brother out in Farmersville yesterday his daughter Karisma works at Rivera's Salva .Tex-Mex the food was absolutely amazing as usual I'm so glad she works at this amazing place, the owners there are awesome people for being a family owned restaurant they keep up with the crowd this place gets packed you can see why the food is just right again the food was delicious and the seasoning and spices was On point, the customer service & care was great, Karisma was wonderful , so much help the way she explained the menu etc. I do recommend this restaurant located in Farmersville Texas to anyone traveling threw, or moving to the area, my brother and his family live in Farmersville and referred this restaurant restaurant to me , I give this restaurant a 5*Star. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Was a bit confused when we decided to pull off during a trip to have dinner, as the look from the highway was misleading. But the sneaky atmosphere was great (good decor and multiple birthdays were being celebrated) and the food delicious. I was feeling curious about Jambalaya in a tex-mex restaurant, and it did not disappoint! It was definitely a different take on the dish, the flavors were delicious and the tequila cream sauce really closed the deal. My family had fajitas that were also good flavored. Would recommend a visit!

This is an off the beaten path restaurant. But, you will probably enjoy it.. We did. Kind of a small old house look turned restaurant. This was our first time there. All of the reviews said good food, but the music was too loud. For us, it was a radio and just right. We actually enjoyed it, and the food. It says "Tex Mex," but it wasn't really. We are from AZ, and this was the first time in TX we enjoyed eating the Mexican food. My husband said the margarita was good! We will definitely go back!

I don't give 1 star lightly. To begin with, I was very very hopeful this was a hole-in-the-wall authentic food place as its menu is separated into Mexican and tex-mex dining. Im desperate to let my kids try new things and thought at the very least 2 things can't get messed up anywhere-- chicken Alfredo pasta and chicken quesadillals. Both options were selected via an online order. I ordered the chicken fajita Chile rellano and an order of nachos for the old man. This totalled to be around 39$, to which I added a 3-4$ tip bringing my grand total to 42 something. Once my online order was finished, I set the time for 3:15pm (a whole hour ahead of time) and prepaid with the hopes to just grab and go.

I arrived early at 3:10pm and could hardly tell the establishment was a resteraunt as it had a dingy open sign on the front of the building next to a door that says "please use other door." OK, no problem, I drive slowly around the back on the unpaved road with a small rounded L-shaped parking lot in the back that you have to circle around to even park in. Whatever. So I enter the establishment and was immediately greeted with the stench of something dead to my left. I held my breath and looked around, not being greeted or heard by anyone until I entered the room ahead of me with the bar. The gentleman behind the bar was helping a customer who was waiting for her order that she had also prepaid and ordered online for. I waited patiently for him to acknowledge me just to be told to wait a moment. He returns from the back and says they're still working on my order. Seeing what had happened to the woman who was still waiting there I figured they must have gotten busy-- it was the end of lunch hour. With the smell from the other room wafting in I chose to wait outside and entered again moments later to see if I could source the smell. I looked around and thought the place could use a woman's touch, and when I could not locate the source of the smell I wandered back into the bar area to get a look at their kitchen. The bar area was well kept and clean, the margarita machines were working but past that into the kitchen the area looked somewhat disheveled and dirty. I didn't want to be judgy but I noticed not a woman's touch in the kitchen either. Dissatisfied, I sat for another 10, almost 15 minutes past the arranged pickup time to finally recieve my order about 5 minutes after the other woman had left.

When finally the food came I smiled and said thank you before holding my breath and plunging ungracefully toward the door to evade the pungent aroma. I was so determined to like this food that I pledged a 5 star if it was as good as the prices made it seem.

Don't sit on the edge of your seat-- it was tragically not good and everything besides the tiny chickenless quesadillas (that i paid an additional 2.99 for chicken) had a faint taste to it that kept bringing me back to that awful smell. My chicken chille rellano that I observed in the car before heading home was lightly covered in a cheap queso and mushy. It was warm for sure but did not impress me. The rice and beans could have been good but like I said it all had a weird taste.

The chips were OK, the salsa had a faint ketchup taste.. needed less of that flavor but had great potential to be bingable with the right balance of flavor and texture. Not terrible just not better than some of the other places I've been.

Got home, was disappointed with nachos portions. It was like 7 chips with beans and cheese and some cheap side toppings. 2 pieces of sliced jalapeño. Luckily the old man eats like a bird these days.

This place is probably packed for sport season and seems to favor the bar area. The small parking lot has a gravel area that im sure they can fit more cars for when they need space. Just not a great dining facility overall...

I have been to this place multiple times and the food is usually good, butthis trip has been completely awful, it started off by the bowl of queso we ordered came to the table and it was as runny as water and completely cold, it was brought to the waitress she politely took it back to the kitchen, were obviously they stuck it the microwave to add heat, upon returning with the bowl of hot cheese water and the explanation of we don't know what happened to it but it's hot, I kindly declined the cheese water, we were offered a bowl of guacamole ( which we ended up paying for) ( ridiculous no compensation for the cheese water, our food comes to the table the chimicahga is completely cold and they kindly covered it with the cold cheese water that was sent back earlier, here is the issue I have after everything so far not one time did our waitress come back to the table and ask is everything OK, more tea, more anything, we were totally treated as unwanted guess, waitress shows up and ask if we need a to go box, that's it, still no more tea , more chips but yes the check is brought to sand I'm clearly considering just getting up and walking out without paying, but I can't bring myself to stoop the the level I have been treated, point here is I will never dine here again and I highly recommend that you don't either. Worst restaurant in...

It is not a beautiful place - not even a place I would have considered going into (and certainly not to EAT), until I kept hearing people talk about how good the food was. So, while with a group of friends, I was talked into going there. I didn't expect much but I was wrong! The food and service were extremely good!!! We have now been back many times with others and just my husband and I and we've always had a good experience. And that's saying a LOT when the building is so old and dilapidated that we try not to go on hot days or extremely cold days because it is not very comfortable, seemingly from lack of insulation. But there's something quite charming about a place that works, even though it shouldn't. The brisket burrito and the shrimp cocktail are absolutely the best we've had anywhere and the portions are incredible for the price - especially the shrimp cocktail! Just a great little Tex-Mex restaurant with wonderful servers and cooks in an old run down building and we...
