Tomatoes APizza (14 Mile Rd) — Restaurant in Farmington Hills

So, you know how you see reviews of restaurants that are 5 stars across the board and think the person rating it was exaggerating? More often than not, that is true, but not in this case! This restaurant was, without a doubt, some of the BEST artesian pizza I have had in a while! My companion and I went there on a whim, and I am so glad we did. The restaurant was quaint and cozy but had a great family feel to it on top of being really clean and inviting. The first thought that popped into my mind when i walked in was that i HAVE to bring my family back for pizza night! The staff was friendly, patient, and accommodating. They have a wonderful salad bar with top-notch veggies and condiments, and come on, who doesn't love a great salad bar?! We opted for the Naples Sampler... WOW is all I can say. It really is a tour that I can't wait to take again! Each piece was a delightful, delicate but robust sensation. We ordered the small which came with 8 pieces. 2-White ( fresh tomato, garlic, mozzarella cheese and basil), 2- Green (mozzarella, spinach and garlic), 2- fresh Mozzarella (mozzarella, red sauce and basil), and 2- classic (cheese, red sauce and a topping of your choice). We stuck to just cheese and red sauce, no extra topping. Topped it all off with a nice big and fresh salad! And all of that great food for just $25! YOU. CANT. BEAT. THAT! I could rave all day, but all I can really say is if you are in Farmington Hills, you MUST give Tomatoes APizza a try! You won't be...

We happened upon this place while searching for a salad bar one evening and have been back more times than I can count. The pizzas are stone oven fired thin crust, huge, delicious, and very reasonably priced, with an interesting slicing style that gives you lots of options on.. geometry? 😋 The buffet pizza is a classic round style (and $1.50 per slice to go), with all their standard options available (you can ask for one you like if it isn't out already).

Pizza choices include classic favorites and otherwise unique options, such as the Green pizza (spinach and garlic, a favorite of ours). They also offer pasta options, wine, and their dessert gem, the chocolate piadina (think choco-nutella stuffed into a crust, which is fantastic and I especially recommend bringing it home and refrigerating it).

The service here is wonderful 🤩 The staff is so friendly and personable, from the register to the wait staff to the bussing. With this, the location, the classic pizzeria music, and of course the food quality, it's no wonder they don't need to advertise. I bring co-workers, friends, and family...

My favorite pizza, I drive 45 minutes once a week to pick up the Naples sampler and a salad. The reason for the star rating is because the last three months, since Covid, they have been opened for carry out or delivery, the person who answers has screwed my order up about 7 times, because I love this place so much I over looked it, I have over looked the dinning because I take it to a local park and grub out, I have even over looked the higher prices of the salad. My bill is usually around 60$ with tip (don’t care I love pizza, I love this pizza) but now because of the colder weather near 8pm when I eat, it’s cold... this pizza is totally different cold, also if I drive home it’s even worse. There are too many pizza places that I drive by every day that are opened and struggling to stay afloat, they deserve my patronage more then this place does. Sadly this place will be an after thought...
