My daughter and I go to coffee together and my experience was not great today because of the service we recieved. I asked for a large mocha with half chocolate and whole milk. I asked for it to be iced and blended. The response was if I wanted the same drink with cold brew I could order it but they would not make it with espresso. I said I'd still pay for it even if I didn't like it. The so called barista told me she chooses not to make that drink. Exact words "we choose not to make that here". I've ordered this at every coffee shop I've gone to for years and make it at home. It's as simple as it gets. This combined with the fact that this specialty coffee shop couldn't make a custom drink and charged $20 dollars for a hot mocha (me), a cold brew (my daughter) and a yogurt is outrageous. I did choose to stay as I didn't want to loose the time with my daughter. I can honestly say the coffee isn't terrible but not worth the price. We will be going anywhere else but BlueNose Coffee for coffee in our future, I recommend you do the same if you don't want to be misreated. I mean, when there are so many good coffee shops out there why try twice. Last thing I'll say is, In my life this is one of 2 negative reviews I can remember writing. I've written more positive than...
Read moreThe coffee is always freshly brewed and that counts the most for me, The environment, is very pleasant with a area outside to enjoy your coffee on warmer days. The local staff make everyone feel at home. Go early if you want scones, as they sell out. They often have a raspberry, white chocolate scone- which is my favorite.
The staff is knowledgeable on all types of coffee. A time or two I have witnessed when the operated the larger coffee bean grinding machine. Being someone who loves the aroma of fresh coffee, it’s a wonderful experience.
They cater to the tea loving crowd too. Big see-through jars offer various tea blends. The BlueNose Coffee spot also provides wi-Fi, for which I am grateful for when I meet up with a client. Sitting around the fireplace and sipping coffee is wonderful. Usually the paper is on hand to read.
Some coffee shops seem to stop brewing dark roast coffee mid day. Since this is my preference, it’s nice that they’ve always had it on hand when I’ve dropped in.
Since they open at 6 AM, it’s great to have this Farmington MN coffee shop here for a quick stop on the way to work. On rainy or winter days, the outside drive-through means you don’t even have to step into the outdoors if it’s too chilly.
I highly recommend Farmington’s...
Read moreI have lived near this place for 4 years. The food and drink are ok. I get coffee here, because of the convenience and I enjoy supporting small businesses. I always tip 1-2 dollars even if I order only a coffee (they ALWAYS ask for a tip.. it never fails). Honestly, I’m afraid not to tip, because they haven’t even handed me my drink yet, so how do I know they won’t retaliate for not tipping?)
Anyway, the last few months, one of the baristas has been rude at the drive thru. When ordering in the drive thru, he responds to questions with a snarky tone and has even at times raised his voice slightly. He sounds very cranky. When I go there now, I always hope he is not working, but he always is. I ordered a coffee today and of course he was there taking my order and was the barista. I chose not to tip today, as he sounded short tempered with me once again. Now I’m afraid to actually drink my coffee, because I didn’t tip and the person who made it is rude. I’m not sure if I trust the drink.
Just a very disappointing experience after having been coming...
