Massey Hill Grill — Restaurant in Fayetteville

What a cute little diner! This place reminds me a bit of a higher quality Waffle House in terms of interior layout. It's always comforting to see the food being prepared. The staff is incredibly kind. I came in just to kill a bit of time & grabbed just a slice of cake & a coffee. The german chocolate cake was phenomenal and the staff made sure to check in on me. I'll have to stop by again for a full lunch next time! The other customers present seemed to have some really delicious omlettes and burgers!

*Update May 2022 Wow, they updated their menu and this js truly one of the last places to get a decent meal for a great price. I ordered a country-fried steak & not only was it visibly prepared in front of me, but it finished fast and cooked properly. Tip big here if you can, the staff does amazing job running the place. Again, big shoutout for whomever does the sweets for Massey Hill Grille. During my last visit, I was told it was a different brand & that brownie cheesecake...

We discovered Massey Hill Grill when I switched pharmacies. (I will review the new pharmacy separately.) The grill offers breakfast and lunch from 6:00 am until 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. Their menu is not large, but the food is generous and cooked-to-order. That means your eggs are just the way you love and hamburgers are cooked exactly the way you ordered. (Not fast food by any measure.) The waitresses are friendly but not intrusive. The servers have access to each diner, an arrangment I haven't seen since the 1960's in small communities. I delayed my review until after my second visit so I could experience both breakfast and lunch. I really enjoyed my meals at the Massey Hill Grill. My husband and I will enjoy many meals in the future in the friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. We noticed that many of customers seem to be regulars, known by name by the waitresses. Wow this place has changed. It’s no longer Massey Hill Grill, it’s called Parkton Gril 2.0. Which is a poor name choice in my opinion.

They changed everything to look modern… it has completely lost it’s hometown feel. That old school order board? GONE! Not to mention they don’t even have prices on their lunch menu.

They changed everything, including the meat, and the burgers don’t taste the same 😔

Their system for ordering, delivering and cooking food is super inefficient. I understand everywhere is short staffed but this is ridiculous to wait 20+ minutes for a burger and fries. The servers were losing tickets and giving away other people’s food.

It’s not the staff’s fault though. The system they work under is severely flawed. Also there is no manager present!!
