Today was my first visit with my wife to this restaurant. We drove for 45 minutes from Melbourne. The food was really good, fast service, and not too crowded for a Saturday Night. Just one disappointment at the end, when the check came. The server never said anything that there were two totals: 1- One including an additional $2.79 charge if paying with Credit Card (they didn't want to pay for it) 2- Minus (-) $2.79 if you pay cash. How many people carry that much cash nowadays? Second, the Gratuity was already included (15%), the server didn't say anything about that either, and it was printed in Spanish but the rest of the check in English. I guess playing dumb or on purpose. You have to pay at the register. I gave my Credit Card and the machine made the charge. I asked the server/cashier about the tip and didn't say anything about it. Not knowing what happened with the transaction machine, I took out $10.00 and gave them to the server. He said "Gracias" and end of the story. It wasn't until I got home 39 miles away and 45 minutes driving, that I realized that the tip was already included but the server played dumb staying quiet. I guess this is his strategy to get an additional tip so he can keep it to himself. So, the moral of the story, I'll never trust again anyone at a restaurant until I have everything clear on charges and for all of you out there, who were planning to visit this restaurant, to be careful not to become a target for this kind of dishonest strategy. We will never visit this place again. This is a response to the owner's answer: Paying for the Credit Card service fee and that the tip is included automatically are facts to be explained to the customers as soon their arrival before placing an order. The server could have told me that the tip was included when I gave him the $10.00 but he didn't, he kept quiet. Sure, seems like you promote this kind of dishonesty among your employees. I'm sure he didn't share the money with anyone else. Thanks for nothing. This is a second response to the owner's answer: I added a scan of the receipt that evening. The circled area in red is what you say that was written on the check in English & Spanish, "Propina Incluida/Service." "Propina Incluida" is Spanish, "Service" is not the correct translation, it should say, "Tip Included" or "Gratuity Included." Looks like your English sucks, you probably learned it from a little Booklet from a "Cracker Jack" box.

what really bothered us was the fact that we ordered SIX baleadas With JUST BEANS AND CREAM and yet these girls put beans and cheese!! WHYYYY?? Update:: we gave them another shot and the beleadas came out pretty good. It's always hit or miss but the tortillas were always fluffy even when the ingredients didn't match. Recently we made a pick up order and when my husband picked up he even asked if they were made just beans and cream and was assured by the owner or cooks son so he paid and we left. Only to get home and every one of our EIGHT were beans and cheese that we specifically didn't want bc our kids don't like it. I called and the boy assured us they will fix this by remaking the order another day since they were a minute from closing. I called back and another lady told me she was the owner and the biys who told me that is her son and he shouldn't have told me he would make it right because she loses money if she re makes the order the charged me for and made completely wrong. I'm shocked that she would run her business like that. So sad.

La Casa de las Pupusas 2 Hidden Gem – Delicious Authentic Mexican/South American Food Date of Visit 7-18-2022 A last-minute decision to try a new restaurant resulted in a culinary delight for me and my two sons! Being novices to truly authentic Mexican/South American cuisine every dish was something new, except for the asada tacos. The Pupusa Frijol Con Queso with cabbage salad and a medium salsa rojo were savory corn to tortillas stuffed with mozzarella cheese and mixed beans. A little cabbage salad and salsa on top made the perfect bite of goodness. The Tacos Onduranos were delicious chicken tacos rolled up and fried with a cabbage salad on top. A savory crunchy and tasty dish! The star of the meal was the Desayuno Tipico. Warm Corn tortillas that you fill with, refried beans, eggs over medium, asada steak, plantains, fresh cheese, and pickled vegetables. This seemingly crazy combination resulted a delightful new taste experience! Total bill for 3 was $51.58 with tax, plus tip

I asked for two cheese pupusas and four steak tacos. Somehow the young lady and I got lost in translation.. even though I told her my full order in Spanish WORD PER WORD. Instead of being charged 1.75 per the four tacos we ordered. We were charged somewhere between 3.99 to 5.99 for Baleadas.(WE DID NOT WANT THOSE) I’m unsure of the charged amount due to the fact I was never handed a copy of my receipt. What I do know is as supposed to being charged somewhere between 12 to 14 dollars we were charged 38 dollars, left a 7 dollar tip totaling out to 45 dollars. We waited very long for our food, she lost our order thus causing a major delay in the process as well as asking me three different times if I’ve already paid when I paid right after ordering my food, not to mention giving me an attitude when I asked for another sauce. Given the amount of food I ordered for myself and my family asking for ONE more sauce is reasonable! As to why it was not to her and she felt as though it was professional to act snarky is beyond my comprehension. As for the food, service aside there was no steak in my Baleada. As if it wasn’t bad enough that I didn’t want that, now we had to eat something that was significantly more expensive and had tough, chewy pieces of steak. For the money we spent on our food we could have went to the grocery store and bought a nice cut of meat with less fat and more substance. We will not refer our friends or family and will not be returning unfortunately. It’s sad to say because as Hispanics we really wanted to find a genuine spot to enjoy foods we love and know but I guess the...
