Tried the steak out... One 32 oz bone-in ribeye with side salad & baked potato for 38$.
First off the service was GOOD... Not great but good enough 👍
We split the steak up 3 ways at medium rare, which was still bloody due to the cut thickness... Perfect for my family. We each had our own potato & salad. The salad was actually okay... Just the summer blend of lettuces you can find in the organic box at a grocer... Green & violet leaves... Split cherry tomatoe & 3 cucumber pieces... The dressings were satisfactory... But their take on balsamic vinaigrette IS different than the typical.
The baked potato... Mediocre. Yes it was baked. It wasn't wrapped in foil and wasn't hot on the plate. The loaded toppings they bring out you have to mash into the potato and it still just tastes like a dry baked potato taste amongst the potato toppers... I would have personally preferred a potato, still in foil, that had been brushed with olive oil and some sea salt on the skin. Hot so that butter would melt on contact.
The Ribeye was actually cooked well with butter drizzled on top... However, no horse radish provided. Would have preferred some semblance of seasoning on the steak... Which on the seared surface was a salt & pepper crust... How was there no garlic sauteed in the butter that was drizzled on top? Also, though the meat itself was juicy and bloody... Perhaps with no au jus & horse radish it just wasn't everything it should have been.
Will be back to try other items. Thanks...
Read moreWe went there for breakfast. My husband and I ordered the scrambled egg plate each which was fine, but hard to mess up, but is a LOT of food so that was a good value. However, the kids ordered a cinnamon roll which I had read was not good but 8 yo ordered anyway. Confirmed…not good. He opted to share my meal. Roll was Store bought, dry, and hard. 12 yo ordered breakfast burrito and took one bite and said it was terrible. I took a bite and confirmed…absolutely disgusting. Was overwhelmingly melted liquidy cheese tasting. Couldn’t even taste egg or sausage. I was most disappointed that the server who acknowledged the 2 full uneaten plates, including a $16 burrito in front of our 12 year old, upon asking us if we wanted a box didn’t process how unhappy we were with the meal. I’m not sure if it’s acceptable to send it back due to it being gross in its existence alone, so we didn’t send it back and just paid for it. I don’t think she did anything wrong but to me but that’s a sign of service in the restaurant and if they really care about their patrons to train the wait staff to see disappointment like that and inquire if everything tasted ok, which clearly it did not. We opted to avoid the Steak Out night as well given quality of food we encountered at breakfast…can’t imagine the steak...
Read moreMy wife and I have made the Omni Resort our go to stay for the past 5 years. This year the stay just wasn't the same. The worst part of the stay was our brunch experience at the Marche. Our waitress was Sandra W. Her customer service was pretty poor to say the least. Clearly she was ready to get us out the door. I asked for a refill of my drink. She put it in a togo cup and brought a togo box before my wife and I were even finished. She also bought out the ticket and automatically added in a tip for herself without allowing us the opportunity to complete it as the customer. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I asked the manager on duty about this. Her hesitation basically gave it away but she attempted to tell me that they always automatically add in the tip with the breakfast package. [Why would I not be allowed tip the waitress what I felt they deserved?] Mind you we've been there for the past 3 days and none of the other restaurants on site or waitresses automatically included in their own tip at 21%. They all allowed me to graciously give them a 20% tip. Long story short. Marche Burette please give your waitress Sandra W some additional customer service training. It's definitely...
